Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There is a HUGE lack of leadership / experience in this side.. as said before all the players we're buying don't really have the experience it takes to play for a top side (bar Bentancur):

[Lineup]
Vicario/Empoli
Porro/Sporting Romero/Atalanta VDV/Wolfsburg Spence/Middlesborough
Bentancur/Juventus Gray/Leeds
Kudus/WestHam Bergvall/Djurgarden Odobert/Burnley
Richarlison/Everton
[/Lineup]
But we have experience of winning a European Trophy just last Season, winning the EL and getting CL football this season should have been a springboard to success , something to build on, yet in typical Spurs fashion it never works out how you would expect it, at least we won though, had we lost they would have found a new rule where 17th got relegated as well last season...... :ange-hands-head:

Might be true

We are crying out for more unproven 19 year olds
No, but we probably do need a left footed left back.
That isn't always injured or always Ben Davies.
Frank has a knack of developing g strikers….Toney….Wissa….Mbuemo….Watkins……then he joins Spurs.

He signs Palhinha but plays Bentancur more.

He signs Xavi but he once benched him 4 games in a row and seemingly no idea how to play him best.

He signs Tel on permanent but OK letting him go on loan.

He doesn't know what he's doing.
Our managers don't sign the players mate. They have little to no input whatsoever.
It's been confirmed so many times by our previous managers.

If you did the same for our best recent side you'd see :

Kane (Spurs youth)
Dele (MK Dons)
Eriksen (Ajax)
Son (Leverkeusen)

etc. Probably less impressive than the current squad for key players

100% agree - however one thing that side didn't lack was leadership (France, England & S.Korea national team captains).

It was also a side that couldn't win a trophy despite going close several times.

If Neves is, as reported, wanting to come back to play in Europe, he’ll know he’s inevitably going to have accept a pretty substantial pay cut. I’d have Neves in a minute, he might take half a season to get back up to speed at this level again, but he always struck me as having a bit of class about him.

Wharton’s a totally different player though, Neves like you say can dictate the tempo of a game, knows when to slow it down and when to get the ball forward quickly. Wharton’s not really like that, he’s more just the type that will play an unbelievable killer pass that breaks the opposition’s defensive line, he’s never struck me as someone that controls the tempo of a game that much though.
I agree with you mate. Wharton loves that ball round the corner to open the game up but he doesn’t dictate from deeper. I’m a greedy cunt so let’s sign both.

Yip but he's a deep lying playmaker, a Carrick type, so really we could have him and Simons, Stiller can cover the DMF role, tackling isn't his best attribute, but he's good at breaking up play with his positioning and anticipation. His best attribute is being an elite passer.

I'd prefer that to a Palhinha type player who is best at tackling and duels but after making the tackle produce a nothing pass sideways or backward.
Stiller is a good player with a nose for the forward pass.
