I think you can safely say that we’re not signing Dimarco or Alphonse Davies so who do you want to sign at LB who we can get this window?

So your example is comparing a 21 year old who never played a top flight game versus him at 28 years old who has now over 150 top flight games?!?
Not sure that's the killer point you think it is.

We need players who are ready now. A 19 year old with a handful of appearances in a poor league and doesn't even play for Brazils u19's doesn't scream first team ready.

Do we have a limited number of transfers we can pursue at one time? Never heard of that.

Its a small (relative to football) sum for a young player who likely wouldn't even be given a first team squad place.
