If we can obtain a generous fee for Moore, we should let him go. I've been watching him in the SPL this year. Despite his rare goal at the weekend , there haven't been many positive indications he can make it as a top flight player.

Verdict: sell while he has perceived value
That is absolutely nuts.
Moore is barely past adolescence and he’s playing against near elite athletes and holding his own. He will only get stronger and faster to add to his technical ability.
To write him off at this age is total madness.

He’s not writing him off, just has an opinion on his ability x value. I don’t think he looks v good at all either, but it’s v early to say he won’t improve. If we were offered 15M would I take it? Maybe

I thought we were against ‘taking a punt’?
Or is it OK for other teams to take a punt but we shouldn’t be taking a punt?
I can’t follow these rules.

As mentioned, our situation isn't as dire or critical and it depends on what we mean by punt.

Frank migh talk sense or it might be said he has the odd moment of clarity but I would prefer we sought loan signings if he is on unsafe ground.

The view from the hierarchy could simply be to do nothing, despite the supposed injection of cash, believing Kulusevski, Sarr and Solanke will soon return to the fray.

Right now I don't think there is anyone who could guess what's going to happen next.

It's also fair to say we aren't the only club in difficulty right now.

Fuck me... people want to sell Mikey Moore.

We have a million and one issues and Moore ain't one of them. On potential alone he has to be retained. There's about 20 names I'd be looking to move on before him.

Centre midfield has to be the priority. Not one body, two over this window and the summer. That means I’d be moving on from Bentancur, Bissouma, cashing in on Sarr, and absolutely not taking up the Palhinha option. We need control, progression, and press resistance, not more running into traffic.

We need two out of this pool, as minimum in my opinion:

Manuel Locatelli (Juventus, 28) – Proper hub midfielder. Massive pass volume, high accuracy, progressive under pressure, disciplined, positionally sound. Beats the press with his head, not stepovers. Clear upgrade on anything we currently have. I thought he would be unattainable or the pace or the league given the age maybe too much, but thinking more on it, he would be transformational. Likely starts like Bentancur did, pre-injury. There’s probably a deal to be had with Juve, money plus a player like Vicario or maybe Bissouma.

Angelo Stiller (Stuttgart, 24) – Tempo king. Dictates play, racks up progressive and final-third passes without forcing it. Low risk, high control. Not flashy, just clean and effective. Probably bigger fish than us in for him though.

Pablo Barrios (Atlético, 22) – Press-resistant, competitive, good in the air, keeps composure. Not flashy, but exactly the sort of midfielder you trust in ugly games.

Ederson (Atalanta, 26) – Midfield tank. Wins duels, covers ground, progresses the ball cleanly. Physical, disciplined, knows organised pressing systems. Not a playmaker, but a platform player.

Mahdi Camara (Brest, 26) – Ball winning machine. Hoovers up duels, tidy passing, carries the ball forward. Ligue 1 value option

Elliot Anderson (Forest, 23) – High-energy progressor, fearless ball carrier, decent recovery numbers. A bit sloppy in possession sometime, so not quite a player that will control games yet. Homegrown bonus.

Tyler Morton (Lyon, 23) – Progressive passer, energetic, disciplined, decent range. Still developing but mouldable under specific coaches. English quota angle if shopping abroad.

Maximo Perrone (Como, 22) – Silky on the ball, progressive and able to find pockets that relieve pressure. Safe, tidy, Keeps ball, and doesn’t lose it, He combines invention with work rate.

Mamadou Sangare (RC Lens, 23 - Versatile, hard-working central midfielder who breaks up play, carries the ball forward, and links attacks. Not flashy, as in a high risk passer and won’t unlock defences with flair or vision but physically he is strong, and press resistant. Still adapting though.

My top 2 would be Stiller and Locatelli followed by Perrone, Anderson and Ederson.

Granted we need top signings to improve first team. Once thats addressed and near end of window we should consider fatawu at leicester. One for the future he is and like the fact it would piss off leicester fans.

The only thing that's changed at Tottenham with all the background changes is that everything has got worse on and off the pitch
It's an absolute shit show as normal, rumours of power struggles with 2 DOFs.
Talk of Enic 2.0 backing the manager, nothing will change where they are concerned.
Then add in a manager whose tactics are based on fear of losing and generally do at home.
Players can't pass for shit, 2 strikers who are abysmal, goalkeeper who is an accident away from a disaster, a midfield that passes only sideways or back.
And then we are linked to a West Ham player who, has downed tools for his club.
You have to find it funny.
Bournemouth will embarrass us further on Wednesday.
Nothing positive at the club whatsoever.
