It is a funny one. When we were good we had no money and apparently now we have money we have no pull. That being said I suspect if we paid hard agent fees and wages we would get a few top players but that ain’t gonna happen.

Yeah exactly, there's no doubt there are quality players out there, but it requires good recruitment, but we have the gimp Flange in charge of that so we aren't going to do much there.
 
I like that Ademola Lookman. Every time I see him he stands out.

I get he was shit when he was younger but Semenyo and Eze got rejected by everyone when they were younger and done alright for themselves.

The definitive thing missing from our team at this moment, and maybe for a long time is a player om the pitch who leads.

Leads, not just om the pitch, but says the right things off it, gets the team united, and who keeps any criticism such as it may be to themselves.

Rodrygo is a luxury player to me, that we acquire in good times. Csmavinga, good age but straight into a struggling side I don't know.

You have to hope our board are aware of the need and actively exploring the options.

I remember all window saying buy lookman I dont care what he was he is NOW better than ALL our attacking talent. Got told repeatedly no we need better fuck off. Have they actually watched us. Lookman and Ederson from Atlanta is the absolute first simple thing we could do throw in Ruben Neves and trust me we will stop getting bitch-slapped every five mins.

Yeah, you couldn't make it up could you. It's exactly that. We had a time when we could probably have persuaded anyone to play for Spurs, but we weren't in the market. Now we are pants, who would seriously want to come here? I'm sure our decent players (of ehich there are few) are already plotting their way out.

Only the long-suffering fans keep funding this dross merry-go-round with the prices paid.
