Agreed, but GK is weak. As is LWF. As is #8.

All three need elite players for the first 11

Agree on GK. I think its one of those positions to not see as a priority, but I also think a high class GK makes a HUGE difference to the team.

I sort of agree on LWF, but think actually LB is higher priority.

Tel is doing a good job, especially with Davies behind him. The difference a left footed LB makes is massive. Imagine if he had a high quality LB overlapping him and making a big difference to our balance?

And with our injuries an 8 makes sense. We need midfield quality anyway, especially now. Although we need to clear some out as well - its looking congested...

I laugh when I read posts on this board saying what terrible a signing Gallagher would be.

He's not the best player in the world, but he's an upgrade on Sarr, Bergvall, Gray and Bentancur.

He's a better PL midfielder than all our MFs (those who aren't long term injured) with the exception of JP and Xavi

I agree he would add something in the short term, for sure.

He's a player I like, I was very keen the other summer under Ange (perfect for him IMO)

Its just, right now, Im unconvinced he is what we need right now/should aspire to going forward.

I also have concerns how his introduction would impede the minutes/development Sarr, Bergvall and Gray would get.

It's good that Udogie is fit again then isn't it? LBs for the rest of the season should be Udogie, Davies and Souza. Only want to see Spence at RB.

Udogie cannot be relied upon to stay fit. Or play well.

He's young, and it shows in his consistency (or lack of).

I dont mind Davies playing, right now he's our best option - I just think an upgrade on him (and Udogie) really upgrades the team

Souza, mixed reporting, but best I can tell he is more one for the future than for now, which is fine - but doesnt help in the immediate short term.

Could not really have more negativity going into any window than this, with a manager who is just struggling, the lead person on record ruitnent with his mind elsewhere, and with seemingly nothing concrete to provide some ballast to a squad that needs an injection of leadership and on-field direction.

ENIC are definitely playing with fire.

When he plays he looks great.
