Jones is a good player and very hard working. He is however very similar to Gallagher. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but our central midfield is very one dimensional and signing Jones wouldn’t fix this.
If we’re to perceiver with Xavi as a 10, then he needs at least one athletic, dominant brick wall behind him… similar to when we had Dembele and/or a pre injury Wanyama and Sandro… not Jones and/or Gallagher.
Because he's not always starting.
He walks into this team. He's actually a good player.
Jones is definitely more creative than Gallagher.
Could even play instead of Xavi.

He’s the rare breed of English, passing #6. Technically very good as well

Much better passer and ball progressor than Gallagher… press resistant too and great at settling a team in possession. Really like the look of Jones honestly and think hes got qualities which our current crop do not have.
If we got him on a straight loan, meh. But of we buy him, we deserve all the trouble we get.
