Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Never been one to give much of a crap about keepers feet. I want my keepers making saves, commanding their box and booting it long for the footballers to deal with. Don't need my keeper to be Pirlo.

Clean sheets against Woolwich and Liverpool in last month or so.

He'd be a marked improvement as we aren't appealing to the best.
Just not how football is played anymore sadly. You have to be better than your most technical players in goals now with how football is now. Robotic systems passing it from the back to beat or deter the press are so hot right now.

Roefs is the keeper we should sign in the summer.
Oh my days. Went to see his stats on FB Ref compared to other goalies. Admittedly, they're the one position I know next to no prospects, and happened upon this fuckery.

All the FB Ref advanced stats are down because the company they used to supply them gave them a cease and desist. This is Devo.

Are we sure we can afford Souza at thirteen million, i mean we don't want to over extend our finances.

One of the worst goalies I’ve ever seen in the PL. If we did this and Vicario got injured, which being us, would happen, then we’d be fucked. Might s well play Austin.
Hermansen's a weird one. He was genuinely brilliant for Leicester in the first half of last season. Thought he looked like a fantastic keeper and was their best player.

Then he signed for West Ham and looked like he'd had a frontal lobotamy. Weak on crosses, shots going through him...just shite all round.

Just looked into it and apparently he got an injury at Leicester and then didn't look the same after that - lost confidence playing in that ghost ship of a team floating towards relegation and conceding shitloads every game. The Leicester fans loved him before that - thought he was destined for a top team and some wanted like 50m for him.

Tbh as straight back-up he makes more sense than Kinsky as he's a bit older and actually proven he can be a good PL goalkeeper. Still only 25 so if we can get his head straight he might still turn out as a legit first team option and is at least passable as a backup in the meantime.

On the other hand, while Kinsky might have greater potential, he seriously needs a few seasons on loan before we can rely on him, even as a backup. And if he needs a loan anyway we're gonna need a proper number 2 in the mean time. Might be better to just cash in now if we can make a small profit?

Also he's Danish so ofc Frank wants him.

Would be a great move for Kinsky

Its hardly any wonder the likes of the "Time for change" groups are protesting, the club is run like a circus and one with too many clowns. 8th/9th richest club in the world and we are shopping at West Ham and one of the worst Spammers squads in yrs, pathetic.

In itself, it’s pretty meaningless — it tells us how much we take in and doesn’t say anything about how much we spend or owe. It does tell us that we’ve a lot more to spend than most clubs but a lot less than Liverpool and City.

You’ll note that the club second on the list is absolutely fucking broke.

The loan swap idea only works if it’s based on the assumption that Kinsky becomes their no 1 for the rest of the season.
Seems odd to me. Areola's very up and down but I can't imagine Nuno opting for a raw 22 year old over an experienced head in a relegation battle. And it's not like West Ham are a team heavily reliant on passing out from the back.

Overall a weird one that makes more sense as an actual transfer rather than a loan-swap.

Every time last season I saw him he had a shocker. Feels like we are going back to the Walker, Keller, Segars, Grodas days of keepers at the club. Just not quite good enough. Shows how much we took Lloris for granted.
