We need something though
Not sure we can stay with what we have and not pick up more injuries
It’s what we do
What do we need then bearing in mind Kudus, Deki, Bentancur, Davies and Richarlison will be back before April.
Sarr and Bissouma are back this week. Van de Ven was only suspended. Gallagher was cup tied and Palhinha has a knock which I know with this club can be a broken leg next time you check.
Between now and April we have 3 Champions League Games and 9 Premier League Games. 12 games in 10 weeks.
Don't get more wrong. If we have a chance to land Osimhen then you take it but I ain't buying bodies for the sake of buying bodies. Throw in Scarlett, Byfield, Olusesi, LWB or Akhamrich.

Not me mate. Regular as anything. Fast metabolism.

Quad shot of espresso.

Agree with this. First team players or dont bother. Filling up the squad with average fodder is just a headache down the line for hopefully a new DoF and manager. The youngsters should be the squad players. If we have to pay small fees to recall Lankshear and Phillips then do that instead of spending £20m on someone we'll want shot of in 6 months.

Hermansen's a weird one. He was genuinely brilliant for Leicester in the first half of last season. Thought he looked like a fantastic keeper and was their best player.

Then he signed for West Ham and looked like he'd had a frontal lobotamy. Weak on crosses, shots going through him...just shite all round.

Just looked into it and apparently he got an injury at Leicester and then didn't look the same after that - lost confidence playing in that ghost ship of a team floating towards relegation and conceding shitloads every game. The Leicester fans loved him before that - thought he was destined for a top team and some wanted like 50m for him.

Tbh as straight back-up he makes more sense than Kinsky as he's a bit older and actually proven he can be a good PL goalkeeper. Still only 25 so if we can get his head straight he might still turn out as a legit first team option and is at least passable as a backup in the meantime.

On the other hand, while Kinsky might have greater potential, he seriously needs a few seasons on loan before we can rely on him, even as a backup. And if he needs a loan anyway we're gonna need a proper number 2 in the mean time. Might be better to just cash in now if we can make a small profit?

Also he's Danish so ofc Frank wants him.

Was he the keeper under Maresca? If so Maresca had him stepping out of goal and supporting the build up a lot

So Levy is gone, but our shopping habits remain unchanged...

We're waiting until 11pm to pop to Asda and lurking around the reduced isle like sharks circling a boat.
Do I want chickpea soup for dinner tomorrow?
No?
Will I eat chickpea soup for dinner if it costs me 55p?
Fuck yeah.
ENIC brah.
I had chickpea stew for dinner yesterday: Cocido Madrileño. Madrid's famous dish. It was delicious.

I’m still (perhaps foolishly) holding out hope that we get Akliouche!

I know… I’m crazy

Also why is there still Savinho talk? Isn’t he injured till March?

Any specific he of us cancelling RKM loan deal?
We could use the place in the squad for someone who actually gives a fuck and not a wage thief.
There is always an option. The player himself doesn't seem too happy and some of the comments I've seen is that his agent is looking for another club for the second half of the season because his place in France's WC squad is in serious jeopardy. I feel like we could see something here but I wouldn't bank on the lever being pulled by us because we would probably have to pay the full loan fee. If the player/agent pull the lever then I imagine they will need to compensate us.

If we sign Savinho despite him being injured I will be fcking livid!

Akliouche would be smart... It's not like we don't need cover/competition for Xavi on top of our desperation for start-worthy widemen.

Never mind being back-up; he'd rightfully be gunning to make the position his...

Said before.... Come the summer one should assume at least one of Mads or Kulu will need replacing.

Hypothetically in the summer:

ST - ??? / Solanke
LW - ??? / Odobert
RW - Kudus / Akliouche
CAM - Xavi / Maddison (or Kulu)

Tel - On loan in prem.
Richy - Sold.
Kulu (or Mads) - Sold.
Muani - Gone.

But was it 55p and about to go out of date?
I think it cost less than that per portion (I made a pot). chorizo isn't expensive in spain like it is in the UK. chickpeas are pennies

This is why a decision on Frank should have been made much earlier. Either sack him and get players that fit for the replacement. Or commit and get him the players that needed early in the window.

Instead, we did neither.

Cause this saves moneyh :D .

It is genius if you think it like that -
- you don't sack the manager, so no payoff - money saved
- but you are obviously not sure on him either, so you don't buy players for him, cause you are not sure on him - again money saved
- so after window is closed and results are still very poor, you are foced to sack him- have to pay money but paying off 1 month salary less :D
- and then you don't bring in new manager on high salary for rest of the season, cause the season is gone anyway - you again save money doing so, and can give gig to like of Mason or Heitinga who work for 5x lower salary than another elite option

This is the cheapest possible option.
Sacking him early (not talking today but like a week ago) would have meant that you need to bring in new manager (expensive) and sign players he wants (expensive).
Or actually making different decision and buying Frank the player he wants from start of the season would have been expensive too.

Instead of either of those expensive options we stay in muddy waters with sole purpose of shelling out as little money as possible. Genius (not) !
