Is it really that hard to find a winger who is a decent finisher and also be able to manufacture their own chances.

At this rate im willing to go and get another young winger if we're not willing to pay the money for a senoir player.

Mika Godts anyone...who's clearly too good for the eredivisie.
Perhaps we should have hung on to BJ.....

Delaney reporting it now.

hmm would have lost my mind with excitement if we were getting him straight from Leverkusen,

I'm not sure....

I agree that there’s certain positions we’d struggle to find a meaningful upgrade for in the January window, however we’ve got some serious gaps in this side where even mid players would be a substantial improvement.

I probably rate Gallagher higher than others on here, and think he’s a massive improvement on Bentancur, but maybe we could’ve used that money on a player with a profile that we don’t have but need.

For years have we been crying out for midfielder who can make progressive passes, but instead we keep buying the same level of players performing the same function.

I dont disagree.... but I still doubt anyone with that profile at the level we need is being sold in Jan.

Frank said he didn’t want to fill the squad with average players and buy for the sake of it. This would come in that category.

Semenyo was the big splash of the window. Maybe Lange and co really though they had a chance, but once City and Liverpool got involved it was never going to happen.

Still have a bloated squad. Silly to spend money and hand out a 4-5 year contract to another mid player we'll just be looking to offload next season.

Keep the powder dry until the summer and hopefully to Vinai's word, Spurs start offering out big contracts that will attract real difference-makers.
