I agree with this bit however he is not Alone - If the club want to compete then we need to Rid the club of Vinai , Lange and Frank , and bring in proper Football people who not only want to win but they want to do it in Style , if they do this and provide the funds then I'll agree with the rest in them wanting to win!
So they 'attempted' to go for Semenyo. Obviously failed, so lets go for cut rate trash like sterling.
Well, based on some of the views in here better to go for Semenyo and lose out, as opposed to what might be seen as lesser players.
Then we buy no one, because the likes of Semenyo ain't choosing us over the likes of City.
So, Fearful Frank can trot out all the crap he likes, but going for a player you are nearly certain will go elsewhere is like the kid in school who always kind of had their hand-up to answer questions even though they pretty much knew they would never get asked.
In the meantime we don't anybody, and bizarrely some actually think that's alright.

Semenyo was not joining us, even if he didn't go to City.
He is/was arguably the best plsyer not in one of those top 4,/5 teams. The other was Guehi, again arguably.
I'm on board wirh laying criticism but if we are using Semenyo going to City as justification, we really are living in parallel universe.
