Just absolutely fucking baffled how this Club is being run.

The standard of facilities is off scale with a beautiful stadium and we have this group of idiots running the Club.

Mind-blowing.

Actually miss Levy.

Scarletts made 4 appearances for us in January. Not huge minutes but was still an option we had and one we used a bit.

It's a real dereliction of duty if we have let him go on loan and we have no one coming in to replace him or Johnson.

This is turning out to be a real shocker of a January given all the injuries we now have & with more outgoings than incomings of first team ready players.

Agree. However, I still expect us to sink to lower depths. Someone will get injured Sunday and we will react completely the wrong way to it.

Two Duran's for the price of one
You’ve gone too far this time…

We have the worst medical team in England, and we’re now banking on none of our players getting injured between February and May.

We’re genuinely banking on there being three shitter teams than us this season, because we’re certainly not looking to improve.

So, you buy them now when they're developed. That's what big clubs do.

Sure but there’s a couple of elements. Wharton and Anderson for example are wanted by united and Liverpool.. so if there’s a food chain, we’re below them.

The other element is about buying from pl clubs is that they’re all so rich now the don’t actually have to sell and thry can demand over the odds. I guess the solution is - pay over the odds. It’s how it is though.

I was replying to a post that was asking what players at lower clubs would improve us, like there wasn't any.

We won't buy them because that's ambitious. We only desire cast offs.

It's freakish and just beyond comprehension.

It's less about how good Scarlett might be but if he was taking to the field he was an option that was being used.

And now.....???

Exactly. A club of our stature / wealth should be buying players in their prime.
The clubs these players play for now are the development clubs. We're higher up the food chain.
A player in his prime goes to a club as high up the food chain as he can.
It’s why a prime Gareth Bale went to Real Madrid in 2013 while a prime Michael Tidser went to Rotherham United the same year. Hope that helps.

Oh,and this phenomenon isn’t unique to football.

Yep, it is as you say baffling.

No, don't go and blow 150 million pounds because you can but do spend on identified or decent targets to help a depleted and goal-shy squad, and to give it a bit of a boost.

Really really weird.

You're talking about the .0000001% of players that are absolutely world class( Bale as your gotcha moment). None of the players we as fans want even come close to that bracket.
