Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Be prepared for some bullshit links tomorrow morning to try and dampen down chances of protests. ENIC 2.0 will have learned this one from Levy.

Going to be interesting to see what player they use but guarantee it'll be someone valued 60m+

Unfortunately it's the fucking same old story from us.....leave everything to the last minute then panic buy some washed up shits that no one else wanted and made no attempt to buy... We're in trouble, make no mistake about it.... Big trouble, I can't see us getting anything from our next 4 games and we are buying no-one of any significance or quality.
ENIC... The board, the management, need to look at thamselves coz this is nothing short of a fucking shit show

I don't understand how you can let a player like Son leave without a clear plan to replace him? I still can't believe we have such incompetent people running this club. When you sell a world class, legendary player, you need to bring in a decent replacement. You can't rely on two teenage nobodies to step up.

6 months on from Son's departure and we still don't have a left-winger to replace him or any real idea of who to target. It makes my blood boil. How can we pay millions of pounds to people like Lange, Paratici and Vinai for this nonsense? What the fuck do they do all day?

We did the same with Dembele, Eriksen, Kane. We have previous and never learn how much it kills a team leaving a void and not even replacing them short term if the right long term replacement isn't identified and chosen.

Utter, short sighted incompetence. It's why we've gone from being a top 4 team down to a bottom 6 team.

Make It So Star Trek GIF

It’s very Nuno/Jose/Pulis in style. Sit deep then hit the wings and then boot it into the centre to a striker.

It’s the type of football you play when you are a team trying to fight relegation. I don’t understand the club hiring these type of managers. I suppose Jose did used to be good but he got more negative as he got older.
The trend in football is heavily skewed toward set piece and crosses. I think managers are starting to get tunnel vision on that score. Striking at the opponent before his defenders can become set, whether on a counter or by gaining an advantage on arrival in the final third, is still important. I suspect it is another case of analytics overtaking football knowledge, not just at Spurs but throughout the league.

ChatGPT todays answer to save everyone ‘click-baiting’

Current reports suggest:
  • Spurs have been linked with players — for example Leon Goretzka — and there’s talk of others like Raheem Sterling, Davide Frattesi and Jean-Philippe Mateta, but none of those deals appear done yet.
  • One report today even mentions a striker (Jhon Duran) approaching the club, but that’s still just a rumour rather than a confirmed signing.
⚠️ Rumour vs reality

Most of the “news” right now is transfer gossip and speculation, not official announcements. Spurs have not announced any new incoming players today as of the latest updates — and it’s quite common for expected moves in the final days of the window to fall through or be resolved at the very last moment.

✅ Bottom line:

It is possible Spurs could still complete a signing before the transfer window closes — but as of today there are no confirmed new signings incoming yet, just links and ongoing talks. If something materialises later today or tonight, official club channels or major sports news outlets will typically report it first
