Is the loan issue not actually an issue? We dont have 4 do we?

What talk?

They didn't talk or promise anything at all, they just pumped pumped £100m into the club, that money is in the club...

You even pasted a line out of the article that specifically states that "the Lewis family have not spoken" ffs.

This was the reason why we couldn't sign Tevez (even if we tried to) in that Saha window. We already had Adebayor but Harry was waffling on like it wasn't an issue and made a bunch of people, even to this day, think it was possible and we didn't want to

I think people over-estimate just how much those things happen.

The corporate way is to reluctantly make coy, ambiguous statements (and not show one's hand)......... The media in turn owes it to themselves to embellish these crumbs for all they can squeeze out of them cos they know it get's clicks.




There's a very real possibility that 100m could just be used to service debt (*) and one could still argue that it helps liquify our activity in the trf market; albeit without us seeing a blip in terms of net spend on incoming players.

(*Last noted, we owed x hundred million on transfer installments.)

.....The article also says we borrowed money elsewhere without clarifying what it was for.

Companies (esp. Investment firms) move money around (and exploit cheap finance) all the time without it signifying a spending spree.

We are allowed to have two players on loan at the same time. But four at the most in one season if we break a pre-existing loan. If I understand the rules correctly.

There were plenty of reports of ‘ambition’ from the Lewis’ when they ousted Levy.

Could be complete bollocks, but it would appear they’re using unofficial club mouthpiece Ali Gold to get it out there.

Could argue Xavi Simons was that. Has been generally lukewarm so people have probably treated it as a lesser transfer than it actually was

It's worth noting that Sky isn't one big global network anymore..... It's a bunch of splintered groups owned by domestic networks that report however they see fit.


I wouldn't be looking to SkyDE for exclusivity over potential actions between Britsh clubs regarding an Italian player.
