I see many still love to defend ENIC during another shit show!
Whilst looking down at anyone daring to criticise them . Then humbly declaring I am a better fan than you. Same old same old!

There were plenty of reports of ‘ambition’ from the Lewis’ when they ousted Levy.

Could be complete bollocks, but it would appear they’re using unofficial club mouthpiece Ali Gold to get it out there.

Anyway Viv, give Herclueless his login back! 😁
The vagueness of this talk of ambition and what exactly it entails is a valid enough reason for consternation.

But they certainly didn't come out and give it the biggun about making signings and splashing cash in January, they just invested £100m into the club and people got themselves carried away from there with speculation. So there's little reason to feel let down by them or lied to because of a lack of activity in Jan.

£100m is hardly a monumental sum in football these days either.

As usual though, there's plenty of valid, factual things to be annoyed about with this club, why get bogged down in hypotheticals and imaginary scenarios?

Inevitably containing no further statements from the club.... The quotes would be everywhere otherwise.

I think people over-estimate just how much things happen.

The corporate way is to reluctantly make coy, ambiguous statements (and not show one's hand)......... The media in turn owes it to themselves to embellish them for all they can squeeze out of them cos they know it get's clicks.

There's a very real possibility that 100m could just be used to service debt (*) and one could still argue that it helps liquify our activity in the trf market; without us seeing a blip in terms of net spend on incoming players.

(*Last noted, we owed x hundred million on transfer installments.)

.....The article also says we borrowed money elsewhere without clarifying what it was for.

Companies (esp. Investment firms) move money around (and exploit cheap finance) all the time without it signifying a spending spree.
It’s all opinion unless you’re in the board room or close to it.

Whether it was an official PR strategy or not, Levy was painted as the person holding the club back (which was always bollocks IMHO) and the Lewis children took action to rectify that. Nothing has changed though has it?

I’ve always been of the opinion his ousting was a precursor to sale.

We are allowed to have two players on loan at the same time. But four at the most in one season if we break a pre-existing loan. If I understand the rules correctly.

Under the rules in the Premier League Handbook 2024/25 (Download PDF, size: 18.2MB), there are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/English clubs.

They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas.

This is saying specifically about loans from premier league clubs? Clear as mud to me

Again.... "reports" are mostly media rinsing breadcrumbs for all they're worth.

No point them doing that (if the intent to spend isn't there); it simply creates unnecessary ill will.

The two-loan limit only applies to players loaned in from another Premier League or EFL club. At the moment we have zero, so we could bring in two if we wanted, provided they are not both from the same club.

International loans are not capped.

They are capped from the EPL end.

"Premier League clubs may register a maximum of four temporary loans (loan-ins) per season, with no more than two permitted from another Premier League side at any one time. Clubs cannot loan more than one player from the same team simultaneously. Only one goalkeeper can be loaned from another Premier League club."

Yes. You can only have two loan players from English clubs at any one time. Over the course of the season you can register a maximum of four, even if earlier loans are cancelled.

International loans, like Palhinha and Muani, aren’t capped, so we could add more if we wanted, subject to squad registration limits.

And every single one of them playing for a smaller club than Spurs.
...Yet the born losers on here will meekly tell you we have no business expecting the club to capable of signing such players.
Honestly man. This fan base has been battered to a pulp
The worst we get under ENIC , the more they seem to revel in being an understanding patient supporter who is grateful for what shit they are giving. Battered to a pulp. They would still support ENIC in relegation. I have no doubts.
Woolwich winning the title whilst we are near the bottom & they are loving it. Can we have more of this please!!! Odd fan base for sure:

Lol this place.

You can tell the people with agendas and eyes fluttering invitingly at Woolwich:

Spurs try to sign Semenyo = Fucking pathetic we tried FC again!
Woolwich try to sign Tonali = Proper FC

Neither were ever gonna happen!

Ok thought it was EFL aswell. So that still means we have the ability to loan 2 in from another premier league club and as many as we liked then from EFL and international clubs.

What/who's? You lost me.

My point is it ain't worth nish unless it's from the horses mouth or a tangible outcome.... Anything in between isn't worth a damn.

You're quite possibly right about that... Although doesn't the article you posted indicate they've stopped listening to offer for the time being?

You know what’s not vague though?

Making no attacking signings when you’re in a relegation battle, are hamstrung with injuries and are already seriously lacking top quality forward players and matchwinners.

Nothing vague whatsoever about that. That’s objectively unambitious.
