Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lol this place.

You can tell the people with agendas and eyes fluttering invitingly at Woolwich:

Spurs try to sign Semenyo = Fucking pathetic we tried FC again!
Woolwich try to sign Tonali = Proper FC

Neither were ever gonna happen!

Their track record indicates they actually do try.

Gabriel Jesus
Havertz
Declan Rice
Timber
Hincapie
Calafiori
Eze
Gyokores

And players on their bench would walk into our first team. Shame on the owners, not fans who just want to see their club do better.

Kk
Yeah for some.

But others definitely use it as a stick to beat the club with regardless.

They cry 'sign ready made quality' and then cry 'why would he wanna come to us?' when it's revealed we put a bid in somewhere.

Frank would have been better to not have mentioned it though I agree.

Nope, disagree.

It was senseless trying for Semenyo. I don't care what anyone says, because it was clear he was being courted by the biggest and more attractive clubs. For the manager to mention it showed up his naivety. Simple.

That lot presumably unsettling Tonali is very different. They can get him and he hasn't been sold, and they are laying a marker. Very very different.

If you think our situation didn't warrant signings this window, then sorry, but you must be able to see into the future.

And anyone saying we are moaning this or that as a consequence is full of nonsense.

And in another dimension the same argument is being made for:

Richarlison
Solanke
Kudus
Simons
Van de Ven
Romero
Kulusevski
Maddison
Gallagher

etc.etc.

Again. Owners who finish 2nd, 2nd , 2nd & now nailed on 1st. Or ones where you finish bottom half of the table. Strangely many of our fans prefer our owners & prefer us to be shit & our rivals be a success. Oddest fan base going.

There's absolutely no way you can compare our ambition with Woolwich's.

Look how much they spent over the summer. They have incredible strength in depth now.

Havertz gets injured and they sign Eze within 12 hours.

Meanwhile, it's been clear we'd need to replace Son for at least 2 seasons and we're still twiddling our thumbs.

I absolutely hate to say it but I wish we had a fucking tenth of their ambition. These owners are taking us backwards.

Pretty quiet. Difficult to believe some £40m/£50m deal is going to come completely out the blue in the next 7 hours. Looks like a loan or two at best.
Sky Sports reporting a fair bit on us compared to others. Reckon no loans/short term fixes but in the market for permanent forward options.

Like we don't need a short term fix!

There's no real loan issue, we can still loan more players in if needed. The limit for 2 if from other PL clubs but both of our loans come from outside the PL.

If you all remember we had Werner, Danso and Tel all here on loan at the same time for the 2nd half of last season.

I know what I wrote, you’ve ignored the bit underneath the quota bolded.

There are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/English clubs.

They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas.
Further digging:

There are maximum limits on the number of foreign (international) loans for English Premier League (EPL) clubs, which have been progressively tightened by FIFA to prevent "player hoarding".
For the 2024/25 season and onwards, the rules regarding international loans are:
  • Maximum Inward/Outward Loans: Clubs are limited to a maximum of six international loan signings (in) and six international loan exits (out) at any given time.
  • Exemptions: Players aged 21 and younger, as well as "club-trained" players (those who have spent three seasons with their current club between ages 15 and 21), are exempt from these limits.
  • Loan Constraints: A club cannot loan more than three players to the same club, and cannot sign more than three players from the same club in a single season.
  • Duration: Loan deals must last a minimum of one season or, in some cases, between two transfer windows, with a maximum duration of one year.

Everton last season had Broja, Mangala, Harrison, Lindstrom, and Alcaraz on loan last season.

By "Harrison" I can only assume you mean Harrison Armstrong.... He came up form their U18s; he wasn't on loan.

Ipswich did actually have just 4, 2 from EPL, 2 international.

Cajuste
Phillips
Enciso
Godfrey

....And?

Seems so obvious that we should chuck that ‘Semenyo money’ at City for Marmoush.

Actually think he’d be that little magic we’ve lost.

Anything we do now will be a loan with an option/obligation type deal.

It’s so obvious, we’ll probably loan McAtee from Forest. 😂

Ok so we can still loan another 4 international loans and 2 domestic loans, so we have no concern about if we wanted to loan anyone in today.

No, Jack Harrison from Leeds did 2 consecutive season long loans to Everton.

Yes, them 4. I thought it was 5 and corrected it in my next post.
