People act like Poch did t have the best squad Spurs have seen in the last 15-20 years.

Poch took over the Sherwood/AVB squad. It’s done to death but Rose, Dembele, Walker and others where players fans where discussing selling for being shit or inconsistent. At the time it didn’t look like that good a squad at all. I have no idea if this is a much better squad than it is showing but the injuries and fatigue we are dead on our feet.

And it's not just that, but several of those players have also never been good again under any other manager.

Arguably the only player in that team whose career performance peak DIDN'T come while Poch was coaching them was Sonny. (You could make a case for Kane and Walker too, but that's about it)

Right. Right. The greatest development manager we’ve ever seen who just happened to fail at the other two major jobs after he left.

Fail. He literally fixed the mess of a Chelsea team then fell out with Egbail and got sacked. PSG is the one that went wrong even though he won a title and cup it wasn’t great. Poch has proved himself with Saints, Spurs and Chelsea to be great with young players but at PSG showed he isn’t the man for older elite player

I think he done okay at Chelsea considering the shit show it is / was /is
They didn't; they wanted him gone.

The continual pining for this guy leaves no surprise that we are where we are now, with fans overly emotionally involved with the myth of ange.

It ended horribly with pochand he had to go.

Stubborn as fuck - DIAMOND?- and tactically limited, in the end.

Let it go.

Yeah he made that squad what it was dummy

Exactly. Kane was a talented but unproven youngster. Dele was from league 1. Danny Rose was a failed winger who had been on loan at Sunderland. Dembele mustered up 1 good performance in 5. Walker was nowhere near the player he came. Dier was Dier. I could go on

Only complete idiots think he was handed a great squad on a plate - he built it and made us into title challengers. The disrespect shown to Poch is criminal - now you're seeing what level we're really at without a manager like him.

He didn’t get backed and baldy pulled the plug too soon.
Much rather him in than skippy.

Yes, because he told the bald cunt time and again the squad was done and he got two players and a couple of teenagers and none of the players he wanted to leave were sold. Exactly the same shit as today. Levy will always sell out his managers, even the one who almost took him to the holy land.

My theory:

People long for the style of football and the success we had under him, and think that we can only have it under him, because we only had it under him (does that make sense? 😂)

Bit like when you’ve had your heart broken for the first time, you think you’ll never love someone the same again, until you meet someone as good or even better, and realise there’s plenty more fish in the sea
But those fish taste of shit that's why they are still in the sea

And while we are on a roll as I say reports from the time said Levy was going to call him it was the footballing genius Donna that said it would be a step backwards.Has she been sacked yet?

I don't know why Poch would come back to work under Levy again, after Levy engineered his downfall by refusing to reinforce the team and has done nothing better since.

if you are referring to Levy and the club to be fair we have spent quite a bit although the wages are limited

If you are referring to Poch he pretty much fixed the mess that was Chelsea then fell out with Egbaili handing Merasca a very good situation. Less good at PSG though while winning the league and cup he isn’t a manager suited for older elite players like Neymar and Messi.
