Seriously warming up to insane idea taking Mason back. I don't care about the optics.

At least he gets us. At least he knows what it means to be Spurs.

Are we really thinking he could be worse?

Do we really think the players really want to and enjoy playing this turgid football?
fuck you emma thompson GIF

Masonball is shite and he hasn't got a clue.
Need to ban this sort of talk.

Randall Kolo Muani a WC finalist and prolific goal scorer on huge wages. Brought in for Frank.

Kudus brought in for Frank. Big transfer fee, decent wages. Prem proven capable of producing similar numbers to those missing

Palinha was his number 1 choice for DM. On big wages.

Simons big money, high wages brought in for Frank. Proven to score and assist in Germany.

Richy has a goals to minute ratio up there with the best in the prem historically but never been fit. He’s been fitter under Frank than ever and not scoring as much because we don’t create anything.

Is Frank getting the best out of any of those? Nope.

He chose to sideline Johnson.

He chose to take Bergvall as our most progressive 8 and convert him to a 10. Completely stunted his development.

If the transfers for him were performing and we were seeing positive signs of the kind of team that Spurs are at their best then absolutely give him time. If we had been seeing young players attack and figure it out like the Sunderland first half then give him time,

We aren’t though. We are seeing a carbon copy of Brentford.
I'll answer your points in order

I couldn't care less about "world cup finalists". Romero won the damn thing and he's still stinking the place out with mistakes galore. Muani has scored zero goals here and has missed numerous sitters.

Kudus is the like for like Johnson replacement (position wise) and he's not capable of producing 18 goals in a single season because he's not that type of player. He will be effective in other ways (namely carrying the ball and dribbling) so you're wrong there again.

norgaard was the number one DM target so let's not try to rewrite history now.

Xavi proven to score and assist in Germany? Hmmm so? Do you want me to list the bundesliga flops in this league historically? Let's not start this.

Richy?? The player you've stated numerous times you don't rate and he should be sold???

Your points are not valid but will get a bunch of likes and agrees because people want Frank out. The reality is our squad is a mid table squad (minus the injured players) and we are around mid table.

Just write off this season. We won't be decisive and move him on now and we will achieve fuck all with him here but we won't get relegated.

He'll be gone in the summer. Maybe we get the next one right.

I've already missed a few games this season and will miss more in this second half.

There is no fun involved in Spurs right now so may aswell tune out until there is.
Join the club buddy. Fulham is as the straw that broke the camels backs for me. I'm done with this season. I'm not waking up at ungodly hours to watch that absolute drivel. It's a genuine chore.

Hahahahhahahahahaahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahaahahhahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahaha.

I'm just catching up on injuries and transfer news. FWIW, I've just realised that we are 7 points off 4th, not 12, as I previously read on here (even checked table and didn't spot the mistake!). It makes me feel a little bit better. The PL is far, far tougher than it's ever been. O(u)r players are just overpaid immature twats who have developed an attitude of entitlement.

Conservatively, I'm assuming Kudus won't be seen again this season, so hopefully Kulu comes back soon. We really do seem to be ridiculously unlucky with injuries, but more notable by the fact we don't have decent backups. meh, this is same shit as ever.

I really don't see us buying a Kudus replacement (as media is suggesting), but surely, SURELY an LW/FW/AM role for support/replacing BJ? Which amounts to the same sort of thing, I guess.

Dom Swoleankle updates seem to be on repeat as 'positive, progressing' once a month. Feels like Lamela all over again. I'd love Lamela back right now.

He's not used to being in this position. Especially at a top club with egos.

Frank was at Brentford for 9 years.

He probably had a rapport with every player at that club before he became the assitant manager and subsequently the manager.

It's the fault of those who recruited Frank for not doing their due dilligence on what he may struggle with.

Of all the candidates I thought Marco Silva was the best for this reason.

He had managed two big clubs already; Sporting and Everton, and had proved himself for a second time at Fulham after a period of adversity at Everton.

Silva probably learned from what went wrong at Everton.

And he's a better coach than Frank.

Who do you think Levy would have preferred?

Marco Silva would probably have been good. But im generally sceptical with the long time premier league managers. Very rarely do the take a job with "bigger club" and have succes.

But i completely agree with you on Frank. It looks like a too big a job for him at this point.

RKM is an established top level player who has scored goals everywhere he has gone.

He is underperforming compared to his past for us.

Kudus is the like for like Johnson replacement (position wise) and he's not capable of producing 18 goals in a single season because he's not that type of player. He will be effective in other ways (namely carrying the ball and dribbling) so you're wrong there again.

Kudus scored 18 goals and 10 assists in 24/25 for West Ham

He is underperforming compared to his past for us.

norgaard was the number one DM target so let's not try to rewrite history now.

Fair enough. I remember being surprised Norgaard didn't want to follow Frank but you are right Palinha was his second choice.

Xavi proven to score and assist in Germany? Hmmm so? Do you want me to list the bundesliga flops in this league historically? Let's not start this.

I can name one who didn't flop from the Bundesliga, Son Heung Min. How many of those flops were already mainstay star for the Netherlands NT and had world class performances in the World Cup as well?

Simons is adapting tbh and that's not on Frank IMO.

Richy?? The player you've stated numerous times you don't rate and he should be sold???

Looks like Frank was the one who decided to keep him, though.

I mean, my main point was that Frank isn't getting the best out of the players he has brought in and isn't getting the best out of the players he found either. He could complain about the amount of goals gone from the team but he chose not to play last season's top scorer and now he's been sold.

That's valid IMO when you consider that we have seen the style of football we are trying to play and there is easy way to see how the missing players really would be making much difference. They would most likely be struggling like everybody else. Even Ange who everyone hated had to deal with losing Kane but still scored more goals and finished higher in the table.

It's obvious he has no clue what he is doing.

His time at Spurs is destroying what little credibility he did have outside of Brentford.

Silva has made chicken soup out of chicken shit at Fulham.

He can set a team up in different ways, depending on the opposition, in pursuit of points.

Spurs have payed all these wankers to make the decisions about who would be the best manager for Spurs going forward and I honestly think a poll on a forum like this would have come up with a better solution than our 'experts' have.

Thomas Frank's failure at Spurs was predictable to most Spurs supporters. The speed of that failure has been unbelievable.

ENIC need new people across the board at Spurs.

I'd prefer Spurs people to be honest.

He does have a clue but imo players arent buying into it. Plus its negligence by the board not signing a striker. Having richarlison all season is asking for trouble.

You don't demand respect... you earn it... Frank hasn't earnt it hence the players think he's a floppy haired prick who hasn't a clue how to get 500m worth of talent to play football and not hoofball. They wouldn't be wrong would they???
Earn it yes. I think it is something you demand aswell. Maybe a translation difference. Anyways. My point is that Frank shoulf have punished both VdV and Spence. Make them warm the bench for a couple of matches. Show them who is in charge.

I know what you think about Frank, but the players should not at anytime show such lack of respect towards the manager.

I dont think Frank is the problem alone. There are some very bad characters and a very unhealthy culture in our squad.

Some fans comparing this to last season.

Just having a look and typing this live, so I may be wrong about what I'm about to say, but - game 11 - 20 of 23/24
23/24
P10 L5 W4 D1
13 points. 1.3ppg

25/26
P10 L5 W2 D4
10 points. 1ppg

Mitigating factors for both. We know VDV and Maddison got injured for Ange in game 10.
But Maddison, Kulusevski and Solanke have all been out all season for Frank.

We conceded 17 goals in Ange's 2nd 10 games
We conceded 17 goals in Franks last 10 games.

Nobody (but me and a handful of others) were frothing at the mouth at how bad Ange was after those outlying first 10 games.
But it seems the fanbase is unanimously frothing at the mouth against Frank now.
17 goals conceded without VDV vs 17 goals conceded with VDV.
I don't think that Kulu and Solanke have much to do with our defence.

Agree with most of your points. But Frank is really the problem here. Because we didn't see such bad characters or attitudes with Ange. Bentancur racist remark, Biss laughing gas incident - they were all dealt with and the dressing room was in harmony, or at least fine.

I don't wish to bring in Ange into the conversation again, but direct comparison is inevitable as these two managers are dealing with largely similar squad of players.

Frank seemed to have change something within the dynamics of the squad for the worse. Spence and VdV blanking him, Biss no chance of getting back to the team, casted out totally and went to AFCON despite Frank telling us he isn't fit, selling Brennan with such urgency and soon leaks of unhappiness in the dressing room because of that came up. The lads could be spoilt brats pussies, but Frank could act on them and showed them who's the boss.

I'll give it to him if he slapped hard on Biss, but give it a definite timeline or condition what he can do to come back. I'll give it to him if he fucked VdV and Spence hard with some time on the bench. But all he did was showing up as the kind and nice guy, just like his football, he's a coward, fittingly only for a small club like Brentford in all honesty. He totally lacks the poise to lead.
