Absolutely no idea mate, to be fair

He barely had a sniff all year, despite Frank supposedly being a fan from Brentford

Club seemed very keen to cash in

And havent actually replaced him...

Something seems funny, but Ive no idea if its Johnson is a bad egg or if its just the board trying to prove they arent Levy
Nah it was just so we had some cash to spend this window the equity injection that we told was happening doesn't exist. Our window is probably done after Galagher and Souza. There is till no ambition from the board.

City havce a player go down injured they replace as soon as possible. While we knew about Solanke and only signed a replacement last minute and almost went into the season with only Richarlison as our only fit striker.

Fair enough man - pieces like this are designed to sound like they know something but really i have read nearly every single thing written in there in here the last couple of weeks.

No sources actually in the club are giving out any info other than stuff that is common sense - leaks are gone.

Levy leaving without anyone hearing a peep beforehand should tell you all you need to know about how much info comes out of the club nowadays.
Law clearly has sources at the club and is one of the trusted club journos. But you still have to parse out what he's repeating from a source vs. his own speculation.

The stuff about the board not losing patience with Frank is probably true. The rest of it is just Law's speculation.

I must have said this about a hundred times since they moved in. All too easy and comfortable at THFC.

Look at Rocky Balboa after he lost to Clubber Lang, he said it..."I got too comfortable, I got too into luxury shit, became lazy/lacked focus". His coach, the late legend Micky, told him "you've lost your appetite, you ain't hungry like you used to, you've not got the eye of the tiger no more." So what did Rocky do? He went back to grotty Philly gyms, proper back to basics stuff...and he claimed his belt back.

Great life lesson to us all there.

Man I think Spurs get shafted by the refs as much as the next guy, but come on, the stat "fouls per card" is one of the most throwaway stats I've ever heard of for any real analysis. It's not like every foul is the same and you're supposed to get a yellow after 5 fouls like this chart suggests... if you trip an opposition on the counter its a yellow every time or if you go through a fucker way harder than you should most of the time its a yellow for aggression, if you kick a ball away its a yellow, if you take your shirt off its a yellow, if you timewaste its a yellow etc etc.

None of this information has any use whatsoever in determining discipline or anything else really. With the standard of refereeing on display every week in the PL I think it's clear to everybody who watches that you really are just hoping for the ref to be on your side that day because they can't tell their arse from their elbow half the time.

I dont think its facilities, at all - complete red herring

If anything, the incredible facilities mean they have no excuses

Its leadership, or lackthereof, that has them "comfortable"

And thats not only the manager, but from above the manager as well

Agree. It all stems from the top.

It's not the great facilities, ffs that should get more out of them than anything.....playing in these surroundings, every other week, should feel like one of the best players in the world.

What's the real problem. I'll tell you what it is.

We're not just a football Club anymore. We're an entertainment company which includes the football side.

This is the PROBLEM. And it's been absorbed by the all those at the top.....that's why there's a general complaceny to what we do on the footballing side.

Its not hell for leather building this football Club to the best it can be.

It's getting the most out of all income streams and that has completely manifested into the culture of the corridors of power at THFC.

West Ham should be winning the Champions League then!

I wouldn't say its facilities but it's definitely culture, the club culture is lax and there's 0 accountability which stems from the top so you can see why some players think it's a holiday, because there's nothing pushing them to improve or thrive.

Imagine Spurs, you come to a club in London where you're paid very handsomely, there's no pressure to win, you can down tools and get your manager sacked every year and to top this off you're playing at arguably the best stadium in the world and have the best training facilities and infrastructure. Your club just exist to compete in the Premier League, not for the Premier League, anything else is a bonus.

This is why I'm not so hard on some of our players you know, a lot of them have had it cushty and this club had been an utter shitshow on and off the pitch, where is the drive to win or improve coming from? Certainly not the club.

Yeah exactly.

The Club exists to maximise its revenue streams.

There's no overarching ambition to be the best football club we can be.

I disagree here.

The stat doesn’t provide proof of anything but intentional fouling has become more and more of a strategy in the past decade.

There’s no doubt some teams consistently break up play with intentional fouls so they can get the entire team behind the ball. Woolwich, klopps Liverpool and city have all been masters at domination possession and then fouling as soon as they lose the ball before it looks like a counter.

It’s cheating and ruins the spectacle. You should never be able to gain advantage by breaking the rules. It’s too bad the refs are just too poor in this league to penalize it. So it just happens again and again.

I doubt some of our squad could even muster eye of the tabby cat!

Thought this bit interesting. Wonder if it is why they got rid of Johnson sharpish? He laways seemed to be dicking about and being immature in Maddison's recovery videos.

Frank arrived at Tottenham with a “no d---heads” policy he cultivated at Brentford, but that is taking longer to implement at Spurs than he may have anticipated.
Is Johnson mentioned at all in that story? I’ve seen no evidence he’s a dickhead and all the evidence in the world he’s a very poor all around player so I wouldn’t assume he’s a dickhead because we sold him at peak value.

I also think Johnson is not liked by most supporters and that probably made him want to leave.
