I will stick my neck out & say this...

"If Frank gets appointed soon and team has a proper preseason, I will bet (to some charity), that we will at the very least finish in CL spot for next season."

My reasoning : For the first time ever, there are going to be 9 PL teams in Europe next season same time. So all top teams in some capacity going to be playing midweek games. The bottom 3 of the PL have all gone down for 2 or 3 seasons now. Bottom gap is getting bigger. You are going to still have teams like Brighton who will be competitive and push all. In such a season of games & disruptions , I expect a pragmatic , adaptable coach to get the best out of the situation.

Sure, he might struggle with rigour of CL & PL. But in most situations, its the club thats new in such midweek games struggle. We have a culture of how to prepare for CL/EL & PL. So, managerial transition will be much less complex.

If we appoint Silva, I give up. Or Iroala too. Glasner is great choice too, but I feel out of the 4, Frank for me still has a higher ceiling and greater fit to club like us.

I am really hoping club decides to go for Frank

Is it the bit where he went as head coach to the second biggest club in Denmark but didn't win anything domestically we should be impressed by?
The desperation to get rid of Ange has driven some of this fanbase to worship a journeyman manager who has achieved nothing in the game. A bit of eloquent talking and some decent finishes in the PL with the Brentford machine has left them soaked through. Amazing how low our standards have slipped. Out of the frying pan, into the fire. Another wasted season.

I don't know why some people have an issue with his level of experience.

Jol was at RKC Waalwijkr, Redknapp was at Portsmouth and Poch Southampton.

Pretty sure Jol came in as an assistant didn’t he? Then got promoted when we sacked the manager.

Redknapp had won the FA cup and had transformed Pompey into a decent team. He was a solid appointment.

Poch was the golden boy of the league at the time having turned Southampton into a decent side and creating some star players there.

Frank, has more experience than Jol but otherwise i’m not sure. If its him i will be feeling underwhelmed but thats how most felt when Redknapp signed, and to a lesser degree Poch, we’ll just have to see how it works out.

No chance. Frank has no experience or two games a week and this squad is nowhere near good enough to balance CL and PL. It’s gonna be a brutal slog of a season.

No idea. But frank , who has never won a trophy, is less likely. But hey we might finish 6th so whoop.
I think you’re being very generous in saying that Ange would have bigger odds of winning than Frank just because we won the Europa League.

It’s a trophy I’m very grateful for, but you can’t ignore that we had a very easy run, which is fine, you need a bit of luck to win things, god knows we’ve had our fair share of unfortunate over the years. But let’s not pretend that Ange’s tactics won us that trophy, because they went out the window a long time ago. Put Frank in the same set of circumstances and I can see the outcome being the same.

Fuck are you talking about?

At this club you get what your given.

Look at the last window!

Wage-pay is the way it's going now.

Frank is a balance of both data and culture.

And thank fuck he has the former in his pocket to help ID what we need and work effectively within our procurement model.

Perfect manager at the perfect time.

You think an Inzaghi is coming here to fight with Baldcunt over an extra 10-20k a week wages for a player he requires?

People need to wake tf up.
I know, why dont we get a manager that gets less than the sum of a teams parts. Strange comment.

They're telling me what I'm telling you that they're telling me!

They have not hidden, in any way, that we're now operating on a tight transfer purse irt wages.

That's what the last summer widow was all about.

That was the declaration.
So why would you endorse the appointment of a manager who is the embodiment of the regime you profess to loathe. It's like giving carte- blanche to Levy's shoestring budget, anti competitive, loser philosophy.
Sorry. I just don’t get it.

So you think Frank is banging on Levy’s door to sign the level player we all want to see at this club?

Let’s both be honest with each other here, whether it’s data or culture, the appeal of Frank to Levy is his ability to get higher league positions with peanuts in terms of wage bill.

Levy isnt going to do that no matter who knocks on the door. So the best we can hope for is a manager that can get more out of average players than their ability warrants.
