I don't think just "giving up" is a viable strategy? 🤷‍♂️

I mean it is easy to say now we lost and have more players missing, but I honestly thought that if we accepted we were likely to lose all three games, it was better to make sure our style was correct for Woolwich, and we had all of our best players fit and available.

I don't think Poch would ever say he "gave up" a League Cup game against Woolwich when he was struggling, in order to beat Man City in the league when no one believed we would, but he clearly rotated in that way that prepared him more for the Man City league game that he won against odds.

Frank is pretty much fucked for Newcastle and Woolwich now because of Romero anyway. He was fucked anyway, but now he is doubly fucked.

Not saying I saw that one coming, but in general it would have been better for the manager and players to be more long term thinking in terms of we needed our strongest back four, goalkeeper, and defensive midfielder available for Woolwich, and if that meant resting a few against Man United so they could prepare better for Woolwich against Newcastle, then so be it.

The life has drained out of his eyes, it’s embarrassing to put him through this.

He clearly knows he isn’t up to it, I mean he admitted in the press conference yesterday that some of the players don’t like him. He probably can’t believe he is still employed. Has any supposedly top club had a run of 2 wins in 16 games and not sacked the manager?
Fuck me, is it really 2 wins in 16? Honestly I wonder if we pulled the trigger too early on the bald fraud, he wouldn’t have put up with that sort of run.

My team up here Dundee United are on 2 wins out of 15, I know how to pick ‘em eh?

I'm going to be nice to Frank here (and another case of lies damned lies and statistics):

Romero - joint highest number of red cards (4) in the PL era for Spurs with Younes Kaboul.

-Romero: 120 PL appearances
-Kaboul: 110 PL appearances

It's not a great stat, but it's not extreme. Bear in mind that before today Romero was joint on 3 red cards with Sonny (and unlike Romero, all of those were straight reds).

Last season under Ange, Romero only had 3 yellow cards all season.

This season under Frank he has had 9 yellows and 2 reds already.

Frank could have done alot to tamper his temper but seemingly he has done nothing and have let it accumulated to 3x more yellows than last season and counting.

He's checked out, doesn't respect the manager or the club.
