That’s bullshit. Ange wanted to win each game hence his response about wanting to win against Man City, which would inadvertently help Woolwich title challenge. No way did I see that mentality that losing was OK. Hell Ange couldn’t accept his players passing backwards. He would shout at them.
And yet, we lost a shit tonne of games and he fobbed it off.

I agree Ange wasn't the answer, but it's not like we stepped up a gear in hiring Frank. He had no pedigree/credentials for the job, it was just another gamble and basically a sideways or backwards move, depending on whether or not we stay up. It was definitely not progression to hire Frank. The guy is a wet blanket and commands zero respect.

We made the Potter Chelsea mistake. Hired a manager who was made to look far far better than he actually is, by the club and set up around him.

As soon as we took Frank out of that environment he has been horribly exposed. Frank has categorically shown he isn’t a good manager, not at a big club anyway. And personally I think if you put him in an Everton or a Brighton, he’d take them to the bottom half / relegation.

We should never hire managers from well set up clubs like Brighton and Brentford.

The set piece coach who replaced Frank has actually done a better job whilst losing his best players which shows what a fraud Frank really is. Frank was actually holding Brentford back and our club decided to make this man our new manager. What a disaster

He could be a natural successor to Glasner in terms of endorsing a very direct brand of football. I can definitely see Palace adding him to their shortlist of candidates.

But then Glasner's defensive record is much better than Frank's: 94 goals in 76 EPL games [1.23] for the former compared to 259 goals in 177 EPL games [1.46] for the latter.

The oft-repeated argument that Frank is your typical shut up shop merchant in the mold of Dyche, Bordalas and a few others who is failing at a bigger club because of just that is not exactly backed up with facts.

I wish it was true; because he/we wouldn't be in this mess then.

Should Johan Lange be under more scrutiny?

I think it’s, like with me, it’s never only one person. I understand it is the head coach who gets the most blame when it is not going well and maybe get a little bit of praise if it is going well. That’s part of the job so I knew that.

In my opinion the way I have already seen, I can’t speak about what happened before, of course I inherited a squad and some players. But the way I see it and the way we do it now, we do things together. So in the September (summer) transfer window it was Fabio as a consultant, Johan, Vinai (Venkatesham), Daniel (Levy) and I. Now this window it has been the Lewis family, Vinai, Johan, Fabio and I. That’s been the way the whole time so it is us who do that.

Why are Spurs so easy to score against?

I definitely think the defensive side is something we would like to be even better at. Especially recently, I think we started the season very well. So it’s very simple if you keep the ball out of the net then you have a better chance of winning. It’s something we are highlighting and something we are working on. It’s something we are talking about.

On Tottenham being desperate to win tomorrow

I could have worded it differently, maybe. But I do think there's something, it should be that feeling. It should be that feeling when we haven't won enough. So the way I work, we're all different, is that if you haven't won enough, then you do everything you can, and you actually do a little bit more, you work a little bit harder, you just know that's the way out of a tough moment. So that's what I expect from the players, and I actually think that's what I see from the players.

I think they run very hard, and I think that's why I'm so annoyed that we couldn't get anything out of the United game, because there would have been five games, and I'm convinced 11 against 11, we would have got something out of it.

Of course, you never know, but there were five games with positive, and then we could really try to turn a corner. And of course, when you haven't won enough, you need to be desperate, because if you're not desperate, you don't understand the situation you're in, in terms of you don't win enough, you need to turn it, and win enough football games. That's what we want for the fans, that's what we want for the team, for the club.

Are Spurs in a relegation battle?

There is no doubt we are desperate to win games. Desperate. I am focusing on Newcastle tomorrow. That is a great opportunity ahead of us against a good team. That is the main thing.

Team news

Unfortunately Destiny has a hamstring injury, he will be out for 4-5 weeks.

Djed Spence is back. Kevin Danso will be weeks.

Kevin [Danso] is with a medical consultant. It is going forward but still weeks before he is available. Deki has got another appointment at end of this week where we’ll know more, but of course out of Champions League, is a sign it’s not tomorrow.

(Will he play again this season?) I don’t know.

Used the word desperate several times and very deliberately…

Seems like he’s maybe feeling like this is last chance saloon

He'll get the fans in full voice, "He's magic, you know...."

HE wont get fans

Imagine the players hearing it every single day... Perhaps injuries to them is a blessing I'm sure some will be thinking..

Hard to imagine him inspiring anything, isnt it?

I think even surely he knows he can't just keep losing and keep his job.

He survived the West Ham defeat seemingly by the skin of his teeth, and we've continued losing since then, apart from in Europe, and well that isn't enough. We need to turn around the league form and now.

If we won't win tomorrow, the club is in a perilous position. A draw frankly is not good enough. Drawing games won't keep us out of the bottom 3.
