If you were only referring to that take then the past tense was appropriate.
« We had zero passers in the team . »
When you use the present tense then you imply that we have no passers in the team currently.

Did you actually watch any games last season? Bad luck doesn't enter into it...very bad coaching, mediocre players and bad management are why we finished 17th in the most competitive and skilful league in the world...bad luck!!!!????
All outcomes in sport are a result of skill and luck. Such a low outcome is clearly the result of a lot of bad luck too. That’s a statistical fact.
I agree we were terrible last season. However…Did you actually watch any games last season? Bad luck doesn't enter into it...very bad coaching, mediocre players and bad management are why we finished 17th in the most competitive and skilful league in the world...bad luck!!!!
I think the drop in standards was due mainly to Ange's ridiculous "style" of training and play and Levy’s inept buy/sell strategies. If we played last season again looking at the standard of play, we might possibly have finished a couple of places up but I see 14th/15th as our possible place...this is why I'm looking forward to next season..a few changes can work wonders so I'm optimistic....I agree we were terrible last season. However…
If you replay last season again ten times, is every result exactly the same? Same scorers, same minutes, same results?
That difference is the role luck or randomness plays in sport and it is far larger than most give it credit for.
Another way of looking at it is that we were 5th tbe season before. Clearly the drop from 5th to 17th isn’t only because our relative skill level dropped so much.
How does your explanation explain the difference between Ange season 1 and 2?I think the drop in standards was due mainly to Ange's ridiculous "style" of training and play and Levy’s inept buy/sell strategies. I agree...7th or 8th hopefully..How does your explanation explain the difference between Ange season 1 and 2?
It doesn’t.
But I hate your optimism. We will do much better in the league this season. This is not a 17th place team as some are trying to characterise us as.
SORRY typoI agree...7th or 8th hopefully..
Why do you hate my optimism? Strange thing to say...
I have no rational explanation for the difference in both seasons except maybe..just maybe we were playing decent football before he came and managed to retain a certain level and some dignity which just wore down after time
.it's just a hypothesis though...
The idiot got found out after first three months and wouldn't change tacticsHow does your explanation explain the difference between Ange season 1 and 2?
It doesn’t.
But I SHARE (edit) your optimism. We will do much better in the league this season. This is not a 17th place team as some are trying to characterise us as.

Yeh one thing I think is for sure, Thomas Frank is a smarter guy than Ange. The idiot got found out after first three months and wouldn't change tactics
Until it was too late
That's what happened![]()
Yeah more tactically astute unlike the arrogant one that's for sureYeh one thing I think is for sure, Thomas Frank is a smarter guy than Ange.
Ange was a bit thick if we’re being honest.
The whole Men In Blazers thing has jumped the shark to a wild and ever-escalating degree.I DO NOT like that interviewer one bit.
Pure creep vibes.
Thinks he's being clever, but it's just awful schtick.
Hard not to really like this man - I hope we give him some proper backing and give him a chance.

After our dismal league form for the last 18 months I think he will be afforded time. My fear for him is if we don't sign any more first team ready players and improve the squad in the middle and up top we may end up a defensive side and have some drab games when we can't get out or get on the front foot. He will want us to be solid as a minimum.Yeah I like him as well.
I worry that people overrate tactics and are expecting miracles when it takes a lot of time and continuity to really create a team and a lot of his first season will come down to the luck of how often his best players are fit and in form.
Whatever happens, I want to see a manager last longer than 2 seasons this time
Yeah. I actually don’t think Ange would have us better than 17th this season. But a good manager like Frank would do far betterDid you actually watch any games last season? Its impossible not to finish higher than 17th though even with the same squad so anything will be an improvement on that.
