Great to see he had 2 separate plans for 2 games within 3 days. With such a big coaching team hopefully congested schedule won't be that big deal in terms of tactical preparations.
I'd imagine it helps significantly to have a proper well drilled coaching team behind him in this respect, as opposed to a bunch of rag tag available-at-any-time blokes that Ange decided to roll with.

I don't really know him but he pops up on Sky every now and again and I usually roll my eyes when he speaks.

Not sure why I dislike him but I do.
I hate when people are designated by media outlets as the "representative" for a football club. It would be one thing if it was pitched as just the opinion of one geezer who happens to be a Spurs fan... But it isn't. It's pitched as "Lets hear how the Spurs fans are thinking". And it's very annoying.

The choice of pre-season opponents definitely helped him wet his feet before the real action started.

Three lower division sides to try out a more front foot system. Then Woolwich, Newcastle, Bayern and finally PSG in the super cup to go at bigger opponents.

It was definitely one of the better planned preseasons we have had for sure. For years I’ve been saying we should have a lot more local friendlies.

Sherwood lobbied for Kane's inclusion in the first team ahead of a return for Berbatov.

Did well enough as Spurs interim to be offered the Villa job where he progressed and integrated Jack Grealish into their first team.

Amazed he was never offered further managerial opportunities tbh.

Some sneered at him but I think he understood young English footballers better than most.
I’d heard that as well………..you’d have thought Sherwood might have mentioned it.

Just seeing Spence renew and remembered he was signed as a Conte WB but didn’t get a chance until he was asked to be an Ange inverted FB…

We’ve had so many debates about Ange’s squad being perfect for Conte and now Franks squad suiting Ange….

The truth is that Frank is probably one of the few coaches that legitimately uses both systems regularly and somehow we’ve completely fluked the last 5 years of building a squad for 2 systems into a squad that miraculously is almost perfect in terms of fit for the coach we have.

Something Ange did really well was keeping the squad together and making them keep believing despite us being absolute dog shit on the pitch. Obviously he was an incredibly motivator otherwise the Europa League wouldn´t have happened and for that I´m always grateful. That´s why it was good timing to cut ties after the season. Ange left on a high and we could bring in someone who´s very decent tactically while also being a good motivator.
This is the thing, without Ange we don't get CL and we don't get Kudus for a start, we are now in the TF era but would be nice even for some of the Ange haters to accept that although he wasn't good enough over all, we don't have that night in Spain without him.

Any way I thought the TF signing signalled that we don't want to compete, that we would be happy to try and get 6th however I am happy to admit so far I think i was wrong, its early days but I think there is something very special in TF, watching spurs this season is enjoyable again, we look well organised and we look aggressive in the press, I get there will be bumps ahead but so far this seems like a master -stroke from Levy and the club. Just go and get him Eze and Savio now so he has all the tools he needs.
