Actually fucking laughable people trying to write Frank off, and say things like 'Yeah I always knew he wasn't that good"

Shut the fuck up you clowns. He inherited a team that finished 17th last season and hadn't received any good coaching for two years. And guess what? He came up against a team today that has had top coaching for 3 seasons.

Yes, it was a really bad day at the office, but Frank needs time to implement his ideas. This is part of the journey we need to go on with a new manager. Don't get me wrong, if we are seeing performances like this towards the end of the season, or next season, I will be having serious reservations, but I don't think we will.

Frank is a top manager, and he will get us to be a very effective team.

It's going to take a few windows for Frank to get his players in. Trust me, there will be many players in the side right now, that Frank doesn't fancy. Particuarly at striker and in CM. I am not saying they are terrible, but in a couple of windows the team could look very different.

We were always going to lose at some point, the PL is unforgiving. I would much rather we stink the place out early on, and then gradually improve, rather than what happened with Ange, and start his tenure looking like title challengers for 10 games that fools people and then becoming a pathetic side.

And by the way, I said Iraola was the guy we should have replaced Ange with. I think Frank is a top manager and will be great for us, it's just Iraola was my pick as I think his style of football has such a high ceiling and would be a disruptor for us to win major trophies.

That isn't me saying I don't think Frank can do that. I just felt Iraola was the standout.

Got the balance wrong today and had no no10. He and his team will learn from this.

Re run that today with a midfield 3 of palhinha/bergvall and simons and we probably win and thats despite the extremely poor performances from richy and brennan

So many mentioned about beating midfield press, but they pressed us beyond the midfield, right at our CBs. It's a very intelligent but risky high press from Iraola. He knew we had no no.10 or deep lying playmaker like Madders. The press was a very mobile one that could easily transition from pressing our CBs to double teaming our FBs.

The main issue was with Bentancur couldn't pick a pass from deep. Someone said he doesn't take risk and he's absolutely right. Together with Romero, both of them keep passing back so many times even when we could actually go long for a break when Palhinha or Sarr won/recycle the ball. They wasted so much of our possession to counter. And Bentancur isn't as quick as Madders who could receive the ball from CB to pass at a turn. He's the biggest factor IMHO that we couldn't play forward as much as we could when there was a huge gap in the middle left by Bournemouth knowing we couldn't utilise it without a Madders. Then they became even more effective in double teaming our flanks at every opportunity.
Spot on. They pressed us but they bypassed our midfield and focused on our CBs and wide players. They knew that midfield 3 wouldn’t be creative. It wasn’t until Bergvall came on that we had someone in the center who could advance the ball forward.

I thought the spacing between Sarr/Bentancur and Richarlison was terrible. Richy didn’t hold the ball up well but there was absolutely no one to play the ball to even if he had.

Nice to see Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman . Nutter-Naylor Nutter-Naylor Shades Shades and Mick Cooper Mick Cooper

Oh good grief

It was utter turd today. Dreadful. But its his 3rd game taking over a team that lost 26 matches last season. If you're writing off managers after that short space of time then we're forever stuffed. Poch would have gone after losing at home to West Brom and Stoke early in his first season.

Every second poster seems to have a Sin Bin on em.

Never change TFC :D
Just goes to show what a horrible nasty fan base we have become.

Only have to look in the transfer thread, to see the absolute pathetic, vitrol, and toxic behaviour.

Some people seriously need to chill, take break from all forms and social media.

The absolute melts who are writing off TF after one fecking loss.

Just grow up, you're an embarrassment.

It becomes very boringly "tit for tat" as people increasingly takes "sides" in hating on players and/or managers rather than just simply supporting the team through thick and thin.

Seen messages on here already angling for Thomas Frank to be replaced.

20 minutes into the game today we had people falling apart, calling the team shit, saying the manager needs to go, same old predictable bollocks.
Maybe you could quote a few of these posters who were calling for Frank to be dismissed, as I haven't seen any?

Too early to make a call as it was too early to make a call after the first two wins.

The team that was out there today was an upgrade to most of last season's: the back 5 are fully fit (you could argue Udogie making a back 6), the midfield is better with Palinha, Bentacour is back to full fitness, Maddison out obviously but he's been in and out for the last two years anyway, Richarlison is fit again, Kudus IMO is an upgrade on Kulusevski.

TF can't say he didn't have players to put on a better show than that. OTOH there are a few coach-killers in this squad-how can the players not look back at that performance with anything but shame?
