Ok that's it

On Ignore Cunt.

I've never been more stressed in a game in 60 odd years than when holding out that last half hour

I'm a fan. I go to games. I call out people who eff and blind at our players. I sang the Ange song with the away fans at Saints knowing full well what I thought of him.

Wanting to lose in Bilbao my arse. The sort of thing that you throw at people who disagree with you when you've nothing to say.

Irrelevant with what came after. He got worked out by every manager in the PL. But you know that.

Like it's irrelvant that Iraola pretty much lost his first 10. Look what came after.

Anyway, fuck off cunt
Good move the guy's a troll.

His posts don’t get many reactions because 99% of the forum have the moron on ignore.

A cunt off? On TFC? Well I never.

We've had to arrest a normality of losing, and the knock on is that some of this isn't pretty.

Long term, he's going to need to sort it out but we've tried losing (lots) whilst playing front foot football and the general consensus is that we hated losing that many games.

This is stability. It's ugly. But give the fucker a chance. And let him have more than one fucking window to sort the players out.

sorry this not more BS
As I pointed out, the games after the international break will determine what the fanbase (not just me) feel about Frank. Go read the threads... many are now seeing Frank for what he is... a solid mid table manager who generally plays negative regressive football and who is unable to make the jump to elite level. I don't hate Frank at all despite the fact you keep spouting that bollocks... I never wanted him at our club and I still don't and it would be completely disingenuous for me to say anything other than that... but I don't hate him... If I supported a team with zero ambition, I'd love him at my club. The next fixtures after the international break will be telling... we lose those in a similar manner to Nuno's final few games then what excuse will you move to then? This is ABSOLUTELY THE SAME. Some positive early results without positive performances (see Nuno's first few games) is a clear indication of a manager who is going to struggle when the level of competition increases (see Nuno's last few games and yes I know Palace was in there but so were United, Chelsea and Woolwich so stop flogging the horse that those defeats were against crap teams). If he get's few the games after the International break with good results and good performances then he get's longer... if not, then the similarities with Nuno's reign (who by the way wasn't given anywhere near the backing Frank got in the summer) are obvious even to the blind...

One final point, Clownshoes won a trophy and did the double over your beloved Frank but hey you just focus on previous league position like it has any relevance (see Leicester 14th, 1st, 12th) and don't consider the context behind that... and no, I am not for umpteenth time going to explain the context.
You really can't discern any difference in how they speak about the game, players and coaching between Nuno and Frank? Now I get that ultimately results and performances are what matter, but given its so early, the question is whether we have faith in him.

If we drop points against Leeds, this thread is only going in one direction, and it’s not a good direction.

Just getting this in early, this Leeds game is STILL too early to be forming a final opinion on Frank.

But… if we do lose another game before an international break, we need to get panorama in to investigate this fucking football club
Hang on, a defeat not good. But a draw away to Leeds is not a bad result for a WIP team. Who would solidly "expect" to win there in the PL? About 3 or 4 teams max. Perhaps only 2.

A draw against a promoted team is a shit result

Don’t start with the free hit crap already

A draw at Brighton was a shit result, as was a home draw vs Wolves and an away draw at a team that has mouldy fish as a special in their canteen.

Disagree. A draw at home to Wolves is a shit result yes. Disagree on the others. I doubt any PL manager or oppo player regards a draw at Brighton as a shit result.

You know the answer Will and you know I am comparing Revenue as a gauge for where you should be competing in the league... you probably don't agree with that but baring a few edge cases every season it's a pretty reasonable way of estimating where teams are likely to finish. If you look at the betting at the start of the season I am pretty sure you would see a corelation between where they are in the bookmakers table and where they are in the revenue table baring United who are basket case.

Anyway, here is what I am referring to

City 838m
United 770m (no CL)
Woolwich 716m
Liverpool 714m
Spurs 615m (no CL)
Chelsea 545m (no CL)

after the big six you have Newcastle 372m

With CL (which is about 100m), we are in the same bracket as Woolwich and Liverpool (on paper) so therefore only City and United are consistently ahead of us (on paper) but as we both know, football is not played on paper otherwise we would be challenging top four every season and not once since Poch left.

I just don’t see us competing with the old big 4 financially. Then I add City to that.

So I put us 6th personally. Which is pretty much what the Deloitte money league says every year too.

One CL entrance in 6 seasons due to league placing backs that up. The team under Poch spoilt us. Amazing that happened while we weee building the stadium tbh

Frank's doing alright with what he's got.

You never need to be that amazing for top 4 and the amount of games I watched us lose last season, to have lost 1 in 9 is fine.

Let's see where we are nearer the end of the year before making too many sweeping judgements, unless we start losing like Ange had us doing.

We invested nigh on £150m in teenagers Tel, Odobert and Gray over the last twelve months or so for their potential. Maybe they produce, maybe they don't. Shouldn't we give them some time to improve themselves first though, before we start replacing them

It also amazes me that people seem to think this team should be top 4, when:

A) We finished 17th last year
B) Even Ange didn't finish in the Top 4.

It might take a few windows and more than a small selection of games to get somewhere.

Yeah agreed. How Poch kept that team competitive and hungry is amazing. I think next season when the figures come out, our commercial muscle will put us level with Woolwich and Liverpool and comfortably ahead of the Chavs although they will benefit from the CWC money so might be closer than I think, but be that as it may I only put us behind the Manchester clubs... we are similar to three other clubs and light years ahead of the rest...

Yep. He's also working with a squad which was woefully undercoached for 2 years, just on easy Street getting beat every week and it being seen as acceptable. I think most of those players will never get the hunger back.
This is an interesting take. You might be on to something there. Maybe TF will end up rooting out those who can’t lift themselves to the next level

So no context now when we've had no Maddison, Solanke, Kulusevski or Kolo Muani all season? At least 3 of those would be starting most weeks.

No real left winger, Richarlison plodding around at centre forward and a choice of Bergvall and an adapting Simmons at no 10.
So you want context to support your argument but dont want to consider it for last season. With all the injuries we had under Ange people still wanted him gone, myself included but its not okay to hold Frank to the same atandards... we will undoubtedly finish higher than 17th this season but its like this is a new standard to measure how successful Frank is... I can see it now when we finish 16th and the fan base is seething, you'll be on here saying we finished 17th last season like its some kind of new normal.
