Or maybe we've been edging results because of Romero, who has not coincidentally been out during our recent "slide"?
I do not think you understand how massively we've been overperforming defensively and offensively. Even with him in the side, we were riding our luck massively. It was inevitable it'd change and it has been for the most part. Even playing 2 DM's we're still like a leaking tap at the back, that shouldn't happen.

Come back to me in a few weeks when we are well and truly fucked. If by finishing 12-14th is the improvement we wanted to see from Frank, then sure, it's been tepidly successful.

You can't play football with absolutely no plan or way of playing.

You're prematurely freaking out. You need to chill out and realize our threadbare squad situation, and observe the current sample size. You're jumping to conclusions. There's a lot of very reasonable people on this board right now disagreeing with you. You ought to seriously consider that. We are your friends and fellow spurs fans too.

Its only 10 games in and you are assume we finish 12th to 14th? Seems like you just want him gone with no real logical reason.
If players are overperforming, I think some credit has to go to the manager yea?

Plenty of guys like you in the forum and they are mostly wrong and go into hibernation when wrong. Pops out like nothing happened after with amnesia.

I’m all for giving Frank time but it’s got to get better soon. I’ve never seen a more boring clueless Tottenham team in 44 years of supporting us. The Bournemouth game was the worst game I’ve ever seen us play at home. We got close to that on Saturday and Villarreal was horrific. There is something fundamentally wrong with our players because there’s no way that they don’t have the ability to create. Xavi,Muani and Kudus on paper are frighteningly good. . A year ago Tel would have been classed as the next big thing. No matter what the tactics or structure is players will always find a way to still create and look like scoring but at the moment ours can’t. The next month is massive for Frank because if things don’t change it will be toxic in that stadium.
Out of our 15 games this season I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed 3. Burnley at home in the first game. City away because it’s such a tough place to go and we won and Leeds away because I seen signs we were more of a threat. Every other game for me has bored the life out of me. I don’t expect us to be swashbuckling and be amazing every game because football is not a great watch nowadays but I want to get excited and off my seat at some point and more than just a couple of times in a game.

5th highest in the league last season.

Scored more than us.

Doubt this will stop the agenda tho.

Anyway, carry on everyone, don't let this get in the way of the myth-creation.
If only he had that front 3 here

Jesus. Look at the bigger picture. Performance wise, that's where we are, despite having a nice fixture list. After 18 games when we've played everyone, we're absolutely going to be in that range.

Our level of opposition has jumped up a notch. Show me we're we get results in the league in our next run of games.

I know I'm not wrong about this. I've been concerned even when we were winning because we've been dire, and outrageously lucky. That was always going to balance out give or take.

I'll happily say I was wrong if that proves to be the case, but from what we've been witnessing so far, I very much doubt that's the case. There's absolutely nothing to justify that basis on that we'll not be around there.

Again, if there were green shoots fine. But there's none. All of the statistics are damning, to an alamrming extent. But in a few weeks, you'll see that for yourself. Even without the players we're missing, who quite frankly, hardly move the needle either way (we replaced Madders and Deki with £110m of talent). There's no indication that this will get any better. I've been saying this since the Villarreal game and it's not got better, it's got worse.

I think a few here need to stop being so lax, it's nowhere good enough.

If you don't think this group of players can't play a sniff of football then you're wildly mistaken. When he gets replaced, the game we'll play much nicer football than anything we've seen under Frank, on the first game.

I'll then be going through receipts to ask why Frank couldn't, after lots of games. Becaise apparently no one in this football team can play football, despite most of this squad doing it at times for the last two years (for the millionth time, I'm not pining for suicide ball again).
I appreciate the perspective that Frank may not have a side like some clubs do, but that he ought to be getting more of a tune out of them. I think we all agree.

I don't believe he is anywhere near being sacked.

As ugly as it has been at times I don't think pressure is heaping on him when we're in the top 6, we're tied third in goals for, and tied second best in goals against.

Certainly the standard of defending has improved. As diabolical was we were at the weekend we only let one in.

I don't expect CL next year, the squad is too limited. Progress needs to be seen. All of us agree.

The idea Frank's job is in peril is very far fetched. We are DWLWL, it's not exactly relegation form.

We never really had enough depth to seriously compete in both PL and CL this season- and anyone who thought otherwise was seriously taking the piss.
That’s right. As plenty have said already Frank has a lot clearing to do with the squad. It is largely very poor. Definitely needs 2-3 windows to get any semblance of a team capable of challenging for the top honours. First test will be to see if the ‘new’ board back him.

The standard of defending hasn't actually improved iota. We have a keeper who's playing at a ridiculously high level, oppenents not taking chances. We're giving up more chances now, which is truly impressive. That's despite playing with 2 DM's. I'm not worried about the defenders anyway, they're very good players in they're not told to defend like lunatics. And their giving up cjaces because we're set up so negatively that we can't progress the ball and opposition are feasting off taking the ball off us in our third. Us only letting one in is immaterial, that's what I'm saying. We're riding a wave of luck that will balance out.

I would think that plans are being put into motion about a replacement as we speak. We lose to United, then we inevitably lose to Woolwich, then the small task of Liverpool and Newcastle shortly after.

I think we are overstating some aspects of how bad the squad is, we are decent at the back with the exception of our bipolar keeper, Berg is a great asset, Kudus is a good one.

We've 6 or 7 who could play on a team that will contend for big things. It's just that the rest can't kick snow off a rope and they are all clustered at the front

Mbeumo, Wissa and Damsgaard and we'd be top, or just behind.
That's the infurating thing to me, not that Frank hasn't gotten a tune out of the average attacking players we have. It's galling that players who could have put us in a position to challenge for something big were within our grasp and we demurred once again.

But that tumor has been excised at least so the year is a success in that sense no matter what!

They need to show intent though...
To be fair they did offer 70+ million for Savinho.

The problem Spurs face is that the elite players that we want and need if we truly want to challenge for trophies are on much higher wages than we offer.

Paying a high transfer fee just gives the selling club money that they can spend and obviously paying higher wages gives the player the money.

We just can't attract the best players.

Lewis's better put up or sell-up.

Not going through all that sort of nonsense again.

If they don't deliver they need to be hounded until they sell and fuck off.

The only game changing players we have are at CB.

It’s just a bunch of average players. Not one is an intimidating matchup.

The only way this club has ever been near the top of the league is with one or two players with the quality like Modric/Bale/Kane/Son.

Umm... Vicario is literally the only reason we aren't currently 15th.

Poor bloke can't even have a Ballon D'or worthy first ten games without catching strays from our fan base
