Our position last season was artificially low. We were in reality probably a 9/10/11 side. We’re much the same this season in terms of overall quality. We are artificially too high in the table and as we move through a difficult sequence of games, 1 point from 6 after today, we’ll drop down the table. Still probably a 9/10/11 side.

Was gutted to not win that in the end. It was a slog but we created the better overall chances and the second half got progressively better.

But like you say, we gifted them those goals. I was expecting a much tougher test than what we got

He did well with the subs and that impacted the game in our favour so credit to him for that.

But the starting line up looked all wrong.
Spence and Richarlison is just a rancid left side when you're playing at home and suppose to be on the front foot.

Udogie and Odebert have to be allowed to develop and we don't want rotation every week disrupting that well balanced connection.

My concern is Frank will rotate too much and we'll lose rhythm and those attacking connections won't blossom as well.
 
For the 1st time this season, I'm beginning to have doubts about frank...his team selection seldom makes sense to me...Slightly worrying..
 
I just counted up that, as a season ticket holder, I have seen 21 different full time managers in our dug out.

So that’s a fairly large comparison pool, for an early reflection on Frank.

I like him. He’s a decent guy and intelligent enough to set up “indifferent” teams pragmatically. However, my overall opinion right now is that he is wrong for us.

He was right for Levy, but what Levy was doing wasn’t right for us either. It’s a shame, but you don’t survive at Tottenham setting up and playing like this, with indifferent results. His home record is already unacceptable, once the away record disappears too. There is no way back. Play badly and win ( Conte ) you have a chance to ride it out, but you can’t ride out this home form.

He might get lucky with a bounce through early ( and I do stress early ) January transfers, but even there I am starting to notice the “Big Viv” and “change” narrative is toned down as reality bites, and we get softened up for 10-14th place.

It's difficult - if he doesn't rotate and we get more injuries, then he's fucked, considering our lack of quality depth.

Maybe Udogie starts if he hadn't just come back from injury.

Kudus out may have made him think to be extra careful.

Tricky situation.

I'm intrigued to see how we do with our best possible 11 out there, tho.

And then with quality additions after that.

I think we'll do well.

Think the injured are trickling back in end of this month, so looking forward to December when we have more scope.

I'm very intrigued as well. With players coming back as well we could go on a real run

I think the Fulham game is a big one in a few weeks time.

He desperately needs a big statement win at home. Needs to send the fans away happy.

He had the final say on who did or didn't sign. He butchered the wage bill to a proportionately lower rate than any top flight club in Europe, thus making us less attractive to top end players.

Of course he's responsible for the piss weak squad he left us with.

Will it change with ENIC still control??

Ange got a kicking for a perceived lack of coaching.
But I do wonder what is happening under Frank, poor passing, lack of movement.
It looks very disjointed, I get the injuries but, Frank is supposed to be a safety first manager.
And yet, apart from the first couple of games, team can't the goals out.

Unless we drastically up the wage bill, can you see that happening?

Stadium is toxic tbh.

Last season saw to that.

Need a shaman to go in and cleanse it.

Xavi had one of his better games but it was still absolutely not effective at all. He put Tel on to go more direct and we scored 2 goals.

Muani had the least touches of any player on the whole pitch but people were too busy slagging off other players to notice. The player that was kept on instead of him scored and the player that came on for the player that people cried and booed was coming off scored.

Yeah Richarlison saw a ton more of the ball in the second half than he and Muani combined in the first.
 
Can we stop this DJed in the left experiment , stop starting Johnson and Richi unless it’s vital . Learn how to play with some intensity so players don’t need to take 3 touches to control the ball . We are not better defensively the goals we’ve let in the last few games woudint look out of place on Hackney marshes .
