He is more cautious than I would like but we have to be honest we have a very young team and a few big holes in the squad that the opposition will always exploit in terms of squad composition. I am more than happy to give him a few seasons to build something and if we aren’t going anywhere then make a change but we need to fix/complete the squad more than we need to look at the manager.

The goal must be to have build a City/Gooner level squad then if the manager ain’t it we move on to someone who can fight for a title.
No way fans are sitting through two seasons of this. Our players are good enough to finish top 5 and if we dont get that, or win a trophy, then why did we bother getting Frank in the first place?!

We are never going to build City/Sooner type squads... we dont pay the wages. Literally all of their main protagonists are around 250k or more. We don't have a single player on 200k so we need a coach to get the improve players and get the best out of all the squad... so that is the question you need to ask... can Frank improve our players. So far the evidence is no, he can't.

Frank has only been here a very short while, far too soon to know if players are going to significantly develop individually under him. With Poch wasn’t until 2nd season or so we started to see Dembele become a monster, that is something we will have an idea about the start of next season.

Poch grew the first 11 into an elite side, that is basically where we need to go again only with better depth. We do spend more money now that what we did so the gap financially isn’t so great as before. It’s far from impossible, we have a very good set of defenders, decent depth (even with a big injury crisis) but we lack stardust, game changers. We don’t need a lots of players to get near the to just 2-3 gems IMO and yes those type of players do cost money, if ENIC want to show ambition then an elite winger and CM and maybe Kane back would be the solution.

Short of getting Poch back and trying to redo the last time I don’t know where we would go if we sacked Frank, it’s not like there are many great alternatives.

I am having serious concerns about Frank's post match comments and the fact he cannot see what we can see. I know the squad he has is not good enough and he has not had enough time. But alarming that he keeps:
  • Insisting that we played well when we were absolutely terrible for the majority of the game and created little.
  • Selecting Palhinha for home fixtures.
  • Playing a right footed Spence at LB when teams have worked out that if they press him we cannot progress the ball on that flank.
  • Ignoring the Odobert, Udogie, Simons triad when there is clearly some magic there.
  • Preferring Richy over Muani.
  • Instructing our CMs to pass sideways and not risk a vertical pass.
Yesterday we deserved to lose then somehow contrived to throw away what would have been a very lucky three points against 10 men. The vast majority of that game we were terrible. A combination of Spence on the left, Palhinha in CM, Johnson on the right and Richy up top means we are an incredibly ineffective offensively and cannot progress the ball on either flank or through the middle.

Porro is bang out of form after being overplayed for 18 months, so play Spence at RB, Udogie at LB (and make buying another LB a priority in January!). This is the type of team we should be picking at home. The game is about glory after all ...

This is exactly it.

Poch also had a bumpy start for us, but we stuck with it and reaped the rewards of high-level consistency for a good while.

There's no magical solution.

We need players back and to improve the squad and give Frank time before we start making wild demands of him to be sensational every game.

Again, Poch had the same bumpy start, it wasn't smooth running.

He had us at 10th after his first 11 games:

But he was allowed time to BUILD something.

Frank has come into a CL season for us and has had that added pressure on top of the biggest injury list in the prem to contend with.

He's, therefore, tried to rotate to mitigate further injury and manage what we have so that they'll last until reinforcements come in.

He hasn't always gotten it spot on, but I can understand his current mindset.

Most players should be back in the fold by the end of this month.

Let's get them match fit and get a couple real QUALITY players in in January and then have Maddison back for next season (hopefully still got it), Vuscovic back for us and a summer where we bring in 3 more QUALITY players and we start to cook.

We got new leadership, new manager, new coaches, apparent renewed interest in upping our level, from Lewis's.

It's a transitional season.

Let it all play out and look to the positive elements that are ahead that will see us in very good shape going forward.

Park the toddler tantrums and leave them until season 2, if we don't see the progress that an improved squad warrants.

I can guarantee we don’t sign anyone of note In January. It never happens

We definitely didn't deserve to lose.

Fucking hell lol. If there was a winner we were more deserving.

They shaded a dire first half but we were definitely the better side second half.

I disagree. With Poch there was evidence that players were finding another level during that first season especially Dembele. After the annual defeat to the Chavs in early December we lost two games in the league up to mid March and one of those was at Anfield. During that run we also beat Woolwich so it's a complete false narrative to say Poch didn't significantly improve the team in his first season.

Poch inherited some good players and he got them performing at a very high level. Frank has also inherited some good players and added Kudus, Palhinha, RKM and Simons. Those are seasoned internationals with pedigree. But he hasn't got them to click after 6 months and I think he's just too negative and pragmatic to change. We go into games fearing what the opposition will do to us rather than letting the opposition shit themselves over what we might do to them.

Short of getting Poch back and trying to redo the last time I don’t know where we would go if we sacked Frank, it’s not like there are many great alternatives.

Bring back our most successful manager in 40 years. Let him hire a medical team that knows how keep players fit and back him with the players he wants.

Take the piss, I dont care. It's the right thing to do if Frank cant impove things.

Happy Premier League GIF by Tottenham Hotspur

I'm feeling quite positive about Frank and this team today.
- For starters, it's obviously much better than last season and it's going to take time to organize a team that played kamikaze football for 2 years.
- Our defense is good. We're short a left back but I imagine we'll get a quality one in
- We have a lot of exciting young players to play the two central midfield positions, some combination has to click at some point
- Xavi is looking better and better and I'm sure will be the top 4 standard playmaker we've needed. And when Maddison gets back, even better.
- When Solanke and Kulusevski coming back and Muani getting up to speed, we will hopefully have seen the beginning of the end of Johnson and Richarlison at Spurs, to everyone's relief.
- I want Tel and Odobert to be understudies at this stage in their careers, but both of them are getting better with this game time
Yes, we are heading in the right direction.

Not at the frenzied pace those not as reasonable and rational would like.

But we will get there.
