Because some of these people who Frank said are not real fans spend a lot of fucking money to watch their team play football , they have probably had stick all week from the gooners at work after last Sundays display, and I think a lot of the fans have just had enough , personally I wouldn’t boo a player myself however I’m not going to call someone “not a real fan” because they are frustrated with watching us.

Yep, that's done it for Frank in regards to those fans who might have held some sympathy with him.

The comment of a manager who let the pressure get the better of his choice of words

The board will know there are problems. If we as fans can see it then, they can as well. No doubt.

I actually think as fans maybe some times we put up with to much and are to passive , we have gone from being one of the biggest clubs pre premier league era to just existing and I think sometimes players and managers come here as there is no pressure to win , I’m not saying we need to start booing players for every mistake however if we truly want to be a big club as fans we need to demand more from the players and managers

Not sure if I feel bad for him, as he's going to be paid millions of pounds to coach our team for a few months. But he's a nice man and a good mid-table coach, he was over-promoted and this is on the people who gave him the job and recruited our players. Top coaches are supposed to give players answers in these games and he's not doing that, or coming anywhere close to doing that. Players look visibly disconnected from whatever his mission is, I don't think they buy him at all. That stadium has some to do with it imo, it projects a grandeur and expectation that the players we have are not capable of matching.

Big clubs do not accept a Nuno or a Frank do they?

His tactics just don’t scale to a bigger club. I’ve been down on the squad for years but I actually think that overall, in each position it is the healthiest it’s been since the turn of the decade. It’s certainly in a better shape than it was from 2021-2023, Harry Kane single handedly carried that side to top half finishes. We had Oliver Skipp, Hojbierg, Harry Winks as midfield options, Eric Dier, Davison Sanchez, Emerson, Sessegnon starting games for us. Yes nobody is even in the same stratosphere as the quality and football iq Harry Kane had even on an off day, but overall we are stronger, and we should be doing much better than low % crosses being our only means at creating chances.

No-one is saying you can't have standards and have a right to boo the team (not a fan of that but understandable), it's singling out a player which is the issue, it's totally counter productive.
Yes but context needs to be applied, the way we’ve played at home not just this season but last as well and we’re 1-0 down already at home to Fulham and he makes a ridiculous decision leading to a goal, he’s booed a couple times straight after and that’s it. Fans were using him to vent their frustrations at the disgusting start to the game and quickly stopped, if he had got it all game I would understand calling out the fans, but Frank leading his presser after that shocking performance to single out fans and say they’re not proper spurs is bang out of order. Having a go at fans does no good to the atmosphere around the club and just creates even more pressure/toxicity.

That's the point though, you're scapegoating a players when the frustrations should be on the club and the team.

Booing a single player does nothing for their confidence, that's why the manager was pissed and booing his every touch after the goal was just cunty, no excuse.

Not sure mate.

I just think if fans boo, it's because there is a reason. I don't think it's nice but neither do I spend hundreds/thousands im money following the team. Mine is mostly emotional investment.

Managers and players must know discontentment follows paucity and/or material mistakes.

Bat it away, say it would not have helped, support your player or manager but don't start criticising the fans and worse, offend them.

That's indefensible.

Didn’t he interview at Chelsea and United? Sure I heard he has that in his book , wonder how come he never ended up there
When we were faced with Iraola, Silva and Frank as the main 3 options I suspected that Silva was the best candidate for this reason.

He had managed at Sporting and Everton; so he had Premier League and big club experience.

Silva wiped the floor with Frank last night.

Out thought, out fought and out coached.

Just my opinion. Most of our players are internationals or are in the members of their country's internatioal panel. In my opinion then the fault lies with the manager and his coaching staff or the confidence instilled by him/them. Better manager is required, someone with a winning mentality. Just saying.

I’ve said it before, but I just found the fanfare around his appointment in the summer to be nothing short of extraordinary.

Journalists, and respectable ones at that, were speaking about this appointment as if we had snared the next great footballing mind as our manager. To this day, I still am completely unsighted as to how they came to this conclusion.

Then you have Levy and Vinai and their infamous “Thomas came out on top of every metric to be a Tottenham manager” nonsense.
Did he really? I would absolutely love to have seen those KPI’s.

The guy was in charge or Brentford for 4 years in the PL. Throughout those 4 years, they punched above their weight and did well to avoid relegation but..
Did they have any noticeable and admirable style/philosophy? No.
Did you ever fear playing them? No (we beat them twice last year in our worst ever PL season ffs)
Did Frank exude traits of a strong personality/charismatic leader? No.
Did he bring through youth players there and turn them into PL players? No.
Did he manage big personalities and get the best out of them? No.

I’m sure there’s plenty more I could go through - bottom line, I think people need to have a bit of a reality check when assessing this guy, because I really would be lying if I said I’m surprised at how this appointment is transpiring.

This “tactically flexible demon” image of Frank we were sold, as if we were getting a guy that had been bossing the is nothing more than utter horseshit and propaganda sold to us.

People compared this guy to when we got Poch from Southampton, you would do well to find a bigger chalk and cheese comparison in any walk of life.
Marco Silva, who was overlooked for the job in favour of Frank, would have been a far, far better appointment and made Frank look like an intern with his iPad on the touchline last night.

Frank is Nuno 2.0 and we need to act fast because the season is still there to be saved.
