I don't see any reason why Frank can't build on what Ange has already done. If Frank was mediocre, Brentford would not have enjoyed four successive seasons of Premier League football despite losing key personnel. This guy is a significant talent.

I, for one, am very keen to see what Frank can get out of our existing group of players. I think he's capable of more than mid-table. As I've said elsewhere, I expect top 6 and competitive performance in all the cups under his watch.
Since Brentford reached the PL they have been appalling in domestic cups. They are sacrificed for PL. They have been knocked out at the first hurdle of the FA Cup in the last 3 seasons and don't fair much better in the League cup reaching the QF twice. He generally bins off the domestic cups which is odd considering he never has to juggle the midweek European grind. With Champions League football you can pretty much guarantee the Carabao will be binned off - he might go for the FA Cup because by January we will know our fate in the Champions League group. I suggest you recalibrate your expectations of being competitive in all the cups under his watch. It simply isn't going to happen.

Old news mate, we are shitting on Silva now.

"Why would Frank win the league at Spurs? He can't do it at Brentford"
Levy sacks another manager

His message "look at me being tough, striving for excellence trying to get the perfect manager"

Real message " I'm doing this because I'm a fuckwit and the fans were being mean to me, so I'll give them what they want irrespective of the consequences - plus all I really want is a manager who can keep us top six with mid level players on relegation club salaries."

I guess the Carabao Cup is a fair trade off for a proper go at the CL.

I’m ok with Frank. Not the appointment that will leave fans excited but I think he’ll do fairly well and get us back mixing with the top 4. Not sure why we aren’t pushing more for Iraola though? He was the leading candidate in March/April iirc.
