We're not expected to win the PL or the CL. We're not getting a top, top coach.
And that’s the problem , we used to be a massive club , the expectation of the fans should be winning trophies and that incudes the PL and CL.
Unfortunately after how ever many years of ENIC we have turned from being a football club into a business, and the goal of this business does not include trophies , top 5 on minimum spend is the dream.

So as long as he doesn't lose 22 games it's OK? That's the height of our ambition??? He would not have won the Europa last season. He never won in Europe with Brondby and he hasn't played a European tie in near on 10 years. With this squad he would have focused on finishing 11th and binned off the cups. That's what hes good at.
I don't think it's good enough to lose anything close to 22 games, but to the AngeIn crew it seems to be acceptable.

If he would have won Europa league? Probably. Hard not to when you play AZ, Frankfurt and Bodo to reach the final. He also has a pretty good record against Man U i think.

How can you compare the squad of Brondby with Spurs?

Serious question and not a dig at Frank , but surely if we wanted him we could have got him 2 seasons ago , does levy just send an email to every PL manager and ask if they want the job?
Again for the record I really hope it works out with Frank but this just screams of going for anyone who says yes

This is Spurs. Every new manager is usually a sharp correction from the previous manager.

Frank is safe and pragmatic. Tactical and a little vanilla.

Norway just smashed Italy- and 3-0 flattered the Italians. Norway produce some quality players these days.

We probably could've done. But since then he's had two more years of over performance relative to his budget. And he's shown that he can lose his best striker and rebuild his attack without missing a beat and can compete for europe. So in the last two years he has become more appealing and qualified. That's not saying he's become a dream appointment or anything. But he's certainly has better credentials than he did two years ago.

Two years we also did need a manager that saw anything other than complete attacking football as anathema. We just had Jose, Nuno and Conte and we needed to be reminded of what we are in regards to style.. It was important and in that regard, Ange more than served his purpose from day one.. Now, trying to find some more nuance and balance might be the correct next step.

Not saying that it is for sure going to work out. But I think there's definite logic to the appointment.

Romero not said anything either

My guess is that they are staying quiet because they are doing something else behind the scenes. Probably already trying to engineer moves out
I'm not reading anything into it, more just finding it Nita me Maddison who hasn't stopped running his mouth since Bilbao is suddenly crickets

Two years ago he looked like a much greater gamble, less safe option

Since then he's proven himself further, particularly this season
