You're just like the Celtic fans two years ago telling me Ange will do better than Poch, 'Arry, and Conte in the league in his first season. If it is to be Thomas Frank, then the smartest move of the entire thing, would be to bring Mbuemo in with him.
It would give Frank a powerful ally in the dressing room.
It would be a statement signing that they believe in Frank.
It will give the players a shot in the arm that Frank is a serious proposition who can already bring in and work with world class talent
It might even appease some of the long suffering fans that this is a step forward rather than a sideways step.
We can offer UCL football, which Man U can't.
There's zero guarantees that Amorim will even be at United in three months time.
If Levy really does believe that he himself is a shrewd big time player in the football world, this is literally the way he can prove it, stick two fingers up to the doubters and come out of this whole shit show with a degree of credibility.
Because it would be the ultimate power move.
But it won't happen because Levy/Spurs/we can't have nice things.
