...and they walk away from you saying, "Fucking hell, did you smell the state of that bloke? Probably hasn't changed his shirt in weeks."

thank god we're not in the same division

Fans are called flip flops but surely Ange did a 360 spin.
What gets me is he binned off the league to concentrate on Europa however he also binned off his football philosophy. Was he that insecure and lacking self belief in his own mantra that he couldn’t beat the likes of bodo glint playing attacking football. I’m sure with a fresh starting 11 we could have actually tried to play football. Yet I’m sure from q/f onwards we ceeded the ball in every game. In the final we could barely muster a counter and that was with his preferred starting 11. Really says a lot after two years of drumming in his ethos and philosophy that we could even string 5 passes together.
Ange is a poor manager at this level. I refused to follow the lemmings and said from Day 1 he was only appointed to lower the expectations of the fan base when Levy realised his frugality, squad neglection, and wage butchering was unlikely to maintain us in and around the CL places.

But one thing I'll forever be grateful to Ange for was totally rebelling against ENICs philosophy and putting every single damned egg into one basket to get that Godforsaken trophy monkey off our back.

I doubt any ENIC manager, past or in the future, including 'Budget boy Frank' would have had the guts to crash their own reputation in pursuit of glory for the fans, like Ange.

No more trophy jokes. And Spursy isn't quite so Spursy anymore.

So for that. Cheers Ange, mate.

Has he not been announced yet?

Longer this goes on, the more it makes me nervous that we'll get dumped at the alter and be scrabbling around for our next target.

Would like the new manager to at the very least provide a list of transfer targets that Levy can then turn down before we sign some 16 year old San Marino forward as 'One for the future' on deadline day.
All is good. Franks agreed
Anyone going near the training ground at all today... ?
Do us a favour and just see how many camera crews have set up along the road....

That's usually a good indication of whether it's getting announced or not!

I assume Levy is busy haggling for a month over trying to make the £10 million compensation £8 million.
Seems to me other clubs just get on with it. Identify a target and next day he’s announced.

Not Spurs though, let’s drag things on for a while longer….at the same time the transfer window is open…mmmmm!
Stop worrying.... There's nothing stopping THOMAS THE FRANK ENGINE from arriving....
....except maybe LEVYS ON THE LINE!
:levywhoa: :levyeyes:b'boom!

Cochrane be mad to turn down the chance to manage Brentford. What a cracking first managerial job for him with a set up and players he knows so well. He has the best chance of succeeding there than anywhere else he might get a first job.
Hard to see him picking us over that sort of opportunity
Yeah I'd imagine he's looking for all sorts of guarantees from Brentford before committing. Right now he has all the leverage.

Spurs and Frank are happy to wait. Don't understand why Frank couldn't be announced earlier though and then go after the backroom team. Very complicated compensation package if each backroom member is part of the same deal.

Stop putting ideas in his head... You've only been here since Tuesday.... don't rock the boat!!!!

Besides.... Half the backroom 'set-up he knows so well' will be AT Spurs in a day or two...!!
If Thomas wants him, let Thomas have him!
