I dont like to take Romano as gospel, but he is such a tap in merchant theres a fair chance theres something to it

Reading between the lines, all reports were Franks release clause was up to £10m/just under

Then theres this delay, reportedly around his highly rated assistant

And then its coming out we're paying OVER £10m

Could be something, could be nothing, but looks to me like they squeezed us good and proper on the move

Romano is not a tap-in merchant

This is how fucked the world of football news is.

The guy who waits until his info is confirmed as real before posting it is looked down upon

In that podcast, they say he didn't take cups too seriously, which worries me a little bit tbh
They did make a brilliant League Cup semifinal run in the Championship, taking out 4 Premier League teams before losing to us.

But in the Premier League at Brentford he's worked with a small, stable squad, dedicated everything toward the league to ensure survival, and hasn't rotated the team very much at all.

Things will be different at Spurs. Can he adapt?

‘Here we go confirmed!’

:dembelelol:

I thought we’d had a ‘Here we go’ already? So now there’s various levels of ‘Here we go’?!

Fabrizio does love spinning out the same yarn over and over by very slight adjustment.

I can't stand the cunt..... Everything about the way he posts - the constant stream of nothing-burger double-speak, the milking of the most minor of details, the blind reverence he receives from his virgin acolytes, the "here we go" shtick (this in particular! Nggghhhh cunt!!!) - makes my skin crawl.

That's def. worth remembering....... For B'ford that champo promotion chase would have been even more pressing than the 1st world problems of a PL top-4 chase.

Ofc Brentford fans aren't going to be happy and people say the worst kind of shit online.

We're a big club, they're not, that's not arrogance but fact. Frank has probably taken Brentford as far as he can and wants to work at a bigger club, not that long ago they were struggling in League One so they should be grateful for what he has done for them and wish him well.

Inch by inch he's getting closer.

And Justin Cochrane gained an excellent reputation at Spurs Academy a decade ago, before being kidnapped by The FA and his time at initially ManU and the Brentford, with his reputation seemingly growing along the way

Given last season this bloke seems an equally important hire

"Haslam is Brentford’s head of athletic performance and has worked for the club for more than a decade across two spells. Newton, the first team analyst, has been with the club since 2019."

Chris Haslam

Haslam has worked for Brentford for over 10 years across two different spells, either side of a short stint at Wigan Athletic. Brentford were in League One when Haslam first joined the club and he has played a major role in their journey up the divisions.

He initially joined the Bees in 2010 and became their head of conditioning from 2011, joining the Latics three years later. Haslam returned after 12 months to work with the under-21s before he was promoted to head of athletic performance across the first-team and B team. Haslam’s role covers physical performance and sports science.

He is in constant communication with Frank on a matchday, and often acts as a liaison between the head coach and the fourth official.

Haslam has worked with the Danish men’s national team too, and was part of their backroom staff at last summer’s European Championship.

The annoyingness of his schtick notwithstanding, Romano has completely revolutionized silly season and is without a doubt the best scoops reporter working in sports, the guys in US sports with big reputations in this space aren't even close.
