before Ange the target was top 4, now it’ll be top 8 due to rivals accelerating past us.
We will not be favourites to finish ahead of Newcastle, Villa etc.
My brother in Christ, Newcastle and Villa both finished ahead of us and nicked European spots we did not get the season before Ange.

Complete psychosis that this man is responsible for Daniel Levy's personal campaign of competitive destruction from where Poch had us.

Ange joined us with no European football, a 15 year trophy drought, and preparing to sell the club's all-time leading scorer.

Ange left us with the trophy hoodoo broken and in the Champions League.

"Poor Thomas, our prayers that you might survive the disaster the Bad Fraud Man left for you"

Because we had a disaster season where Mason took over FFS. That wasn’t established as the norm and we were 4th the season before!

17th. 22 losses. Ange has set unprecedented levels of incompetence - up to Frank to bring us back to a reasonable level.

Go look at pre season table predictions, see us lower than ever before and chat to me about how your hero left us better than before ..

I’ve been quietly optimistic about every manager we’ve hired since Poch, fool that I am, and no exception now. Let’s see how Hans Christian Anderson it all ends up.

Welcome aboard, Thomas, and good luck.

Welcome Thomas. 5 trophies next season will suffice, else on your fucking bike!

Thomas will be thanking Ange for leaving him pretty much the perfect situation to step into.

He’s got less pressure because of a false league position but also inherited a young, refreshed squad that now knows and believes it can win major trophies.

I wonder why Ange isn’t on their shortlist?
As has been repeated umpteen times there's context around that 17 th finish.

So once again for the viewers at home: lots of fucking injuries, no fucking consistency in the line-up meaning no fucking momentum could be built even when fucking players returned, competing in 4 fucking competitions, foregoing the fucking league to focus on winning the fucking Europa and the best fucking pathway to the fucking Champions League football.

You don't win the league with fucking Davies and Gray as your fucking CB pairing.

NB: I'm writing this in my Thomas Frank Danish-English inner monologue hence all the "fucking". You should too.

Context around not being at our best does not excuse a 17th place finish.

And it's not JUST Ange. Good work has been done by Levy/Lange/Paratici to continue turning over the squad, getting younger and with better characters in the dressing room, and just improving and modernizing the recruitment operation generally.

Ange benefitted from that stuff as surely as Frank will (the nadir of the squad was back with Nuno), but it was an unproven step into the unknown at the time he was taking over.

Spurs go into 25/26 stronger than they went into 23/24. That's categorically inarguable, beyond any rational debate.

It's only when you insert the name of the Bad Aussie Man that people go insane and start twisting any truth to fashion into a stick to beat him with.

"Mason disaster season" was what Tottenham Hotspur had become in that moment. There were no more false idol Conte's to paper over the rot that had been festering through the club since the Summer 2018 betrayal.

We didn't fill that hole in Bilbao. But we did at least stop digging.

Irrelevant. He left a healthier, trophy winning squad that is in the CL.

That 17th place means absolutely nothing.
Sorry to say it means we got 38 points in a 38 game season. If that 'means absolutely nothing' to you, I suggest you jog on up the road to whichever team you actually support, if you have one. We were shit under Postecoglou.

Mate, quality stands out!

We will forever be grateful to Ange for finishing slightly above the relegation zone so the next manager has less pressure taking over. What a cult hero!
