Possible Frank is a disaster. Possible he's the best manager we've ever had. A pre-season friendly against Bayern tells us fuck all about either possibility. Same as the one against Woolwich told us nothing. I don't even think the Super Cup will be telling.

At least let the games count before we hold him to the fire.

Sensible post. But I get why people are feeling a bit pessimistic. Our only, really creative player is crocked, not a sniff of a decent replacement, and when we did look as ifwe were going to sign a PL-proven one, it went spectacularly wrong.
I hope this job isn't too big for him, but only time will tell. Unfortunately, I feel the board /recruitment team are not providing him with the tools he needs to get us competing at a level we want and should be. The players are not the only ones that are hamstrung by the looks of it.

I agree with this. I'm totally fine with everyone really upset in the transfer thread. This window has been unimpressive to say the least and then came the injuries.

My point on Frank is: We don't know what he's going to be yet. If he can maximize the underwhelming current squad it'll be impressive. Also possible he's not up for it. All I know is that in every sport out there, pre-season results are never indicative of how things will go when the lights go on for real.

there was the special one, there was the chosen one, now it's time for the right one. you keep telling how great a club you are, but at the same time the solution is buying and stealing from other real clubs. stop it. back in my day Leeds, Liverpool, Woolwich and Man United didn't buy their way to success but started from a visionary coach and young committed players. now is your time. believe in the new coach, who has consciously taken over and led a championship club and their players forward, and whose best players are now sought after by many. now is the time for the right one!!
