yea, i think he learns from tonight regarding tel.

10/10 from frank tonight, setup was spot on for what he had available and for 80 minutes we were the better side. having literally nothing to get us up the pitch other than kudus and we battered the best team in the world for 80.. mental really.

this guys on a mission to prove his football intelligence.

give him another couple top players this window and we are in for a good year under him. loving frank.

It's a silly one-off that would have gotten us a psychological boost in a fraught moment, and it's a shame to let that slip away in such a wasteful fashion, but there really isn't all that much to take from it one way or another.

Disagree.

I think it's done the club a world of good.

We've proved that we just might be at the start of a promising period. We've proved that we can compete with top teams.

We need more. More players. More steel. More work.

But we were close tonight. If the players aren't even hungrier to succeed now then get them out by the end of the month.

If you understand sport science and fitness the fact that they played up until recent and only had a week to train is no problem at this level. All they lacked was touch and muscle memory. That comes back the longer the game goes on.
The fact is these players are never far off elite fitness

Surely Romero won't be having any of that from Tel? Hope either Frank or Romero sorts his work ethic out or he won't succeed at Spurs.

You can coach a player to be useful to an extent, but its even harder to fix a players mentality.

Though whether Tel had any quality at this moment, im unsure about.

The way he set us up and had us playing stunned them and didn't allow them to get going.

Much like Chelsea did.

it hurts, just praying he fucks tel off, hes shown it enough now, hes not good enough and hes a drag. where he gets his arrogance from i dont know, the kids one deluded turd.

another hefty sum of cash down the toilet with that one, oh well. hopefully can recoup 10 mill off the next idiot at the end of the season.

Why? Because he can answer questions?

Didn't even answer the biggy, why despite being way ahead of PSG for fitness, we were the team that shelled into their own box for the last 30 minutes and completely stopped pressing the ball, even in deep areas.

And this isn't just about it being Spurs v PSG, Brentford were the same, giving up 26 points from winning positions last season. Only 3 better than us.
 
When the Ange Out Cult turn on Frank - like they inevitably will because they can't fucking help themselves - we'll still be left with a bloated squad of not very good players and Tel will most likely be tearing it up for some Italian club after they've driven him out as the scapegoat (before they turn on Frank).

Good manager. Needs quality players.

Right

And I think Frank is right to take same psychological boost from the plan slowing them down a bit for 80mins as well.

I’m just hoping that in the back of his mind , I hope he knows that his opponent wasn’t ever really in top gear and there’s a long way to go before we can think about really challenging at this level.
