3 Big games in 10 days.... proper squad rotation.
All 3 games - differently setup.
All 3 games, very good performance from team.

If we can do this, over the season then competing in all competitions should be no brainer....Only need that muppet Levy to back his manager in the market

I wasn't keen on Spurs hiring him but;

My word how wrong I was.

The improvement in every player, in two months, is absolutely incredible.

Sarr, Richarlison, Porro and Bentancur are looking class acts.

A miracle is occurring in N17.

I'm excited.

The difference in Bentancur is ridiculous. We know he is a class midfield player but under Ange he was running down the goalie, out to the wing, back again, up and down. Today, patrolling the midfield, get the ball, give it, get it back. Nicking the ball, passing forward. I thought he was MOTM . What a difference a proper manager makes..

It was great to hear him say we don’t want players here who don’t want to play for us. We already have current players in the squad who have some kinda connection to Woolwich, wish we would completely avoid players who have any connection to Woolwich

He voiced exactly what I was going to say and something I've noticed since the preseason.

Aside from his tactical astuteness a manager needs to realise how to cajole and get players onside.

He very quickly realised that Ange built a togetherness and strong team spirit. He should be credited for that despite his tactical failures. Frank comes in and instantly recognises that as a strength of the team. There is a unity there and he has only fostered it further.

It shows on the pitch too.

I was at the ground in Udine, before the game Matt Wells part of the previous management team gave a very passionate speech to the starting 11 players in the pre match warmup. The players clearly responded.

Then something we've done since Ange, before each game especially away we have the players huddle right in front of our fans. Romero and Son brought them right over to the other end of the pitch in the EL final. A small psychological win.

Something I've noticed in the EL final and now this season. Half time whistle blows, normally everyone runs down the tunnel. Not us, our players gather on the pitch, have a word with each other then go down the tunnel together for the half time break. They re-emerge together for the 2nd half.
Another huddle before the second half starts.

All this brings a sense of togetherness, unity and fight for each. Today a player misses a tackle or header, there's somebody on the cover to help. You can get past 1 player but then defenders 2 and 3 come up to support. The steel and determination of this group is not something we associate with our club that much. We've arguably lost the flair of a spurs side but become a much more stubborn, organised and down right bastard of a team to play against.

It's very much a next man up mentality. This is the kind of side you'd associate with a top old school Italian catenacchio team. Getting joy from defending together, leave no one behind.

I'm loving the attitude shown by the team.
It then matches what Ange and now Frank have said, if a player doesn't want to play for us then fuck em. We have a group of players that will run through brick walls and die for each other.
We'll do it our way and the rest of the teams and media can go fuck themselves.

COYS! 💪

Also what a difference Palhinha makes to Bentancur. I feel like Ange, or the club, has thought that Bentancur is some sort of DM/number six but that's not what he is. The reason he played so well under Conte before the injury problems was because he played with Hojbjerg who was the more defensive minded midfielder. Now he plays with an upgraded version of Hojbjerg and I really think that will get the best out of Bentancur.

So fucking true, we wasted two seasons
Total fucking incompetence
17th with a top five squad
Cue the Gif with the big shiny cup:pocheyes:

Lol.. yeah right. I was at Brighton with his first choice defence we got roasted and as for the four out five out injured that only happens to utterly incompetent coaches not Frank.
The structure is night and day different

I mentioned somewhere that if we fail to sign any of the creative players we’re after I’d actually trust Frank to make something out of us being resolute, hard to beat

Frank is demonstrating a football intellect way above what went before

Have to admit wasn’t to keen when first linked more out of lack of knowledge but when he was favourite reading about him made me feel a bit better, his ability to get a squad punching above its weight. I think with this club and how it is run under ENIC a manager needs 3 things

1 tactical flexibility - squad is often square pegs round holes
2 great at player development - always buy rough diamonds
3 can play exciting football - Spurs fan requirement

He seems to be nailing 1, obviously 2 hard to know yet and 3 I think the football has been ok. If he can hit all 3 I can see him here for a long time.
