If you really want to compare fairly how do the respective Prem records stand up against each other?

After 8 games this season we are 5-1-2, F16-A5. Last season 5-1-2, 17-6.
All about perceptions, innit?
do a like for like for the PL matches.

tell you what clownshoes, I'll do the Math for you

we're 5pts better off this season against those teams or equivalent of Burnley

after 5 matches

that's one point a game better off. Thought I'd point that one out as you're so thick.

3 clean sheets

versus zero

goals scored one better off, despite 4 last season against car crash pre-Moyesiah Everton

no wonder half the site has you on ignore

What a stupid man you are.

It’s definitely a competitive match. There is a trophy at stake that we’d all have loved to win.

It’s just an all competition comparison, did he leave out any games for Ange?

Bit of a weird take tbh

But once again using that match in particular is silly especially when you legit have a means of comparing their records in the league as a fairer way to judge each records.

If he'd have won that match I doubt you would have agreed with people saying that Frank has matched Ange's legacy at this club in winning trophies in one match compared to two seasons.

So I'd say a slightly tougher start for Ange but Frank had 2 home games compared to Ange's 3 - Frank has 10 points whilst Ange had 8, this is caveated with the fact that this was Ange's 2nd season and 3rd transfer window as well 🤷‍♂️

So why does the perception need to highlighted when one result isn't the same as the other?

very happy with how Frank has got us solid and hard to score against. Yes there were periods last night and against Villareal where we looked hopeless, but a) these things take time and b) to my eyes none of that was down to tactics, just a massive lack of ability to pass properly. We lack a lot of composure and passing quality without Romero and Maddison

As soon as you exclude any competitive games you open the comparison up for bias.

You can argue either way that the premier league games were against better/worse opponents

Every competitive game was just logical

I was just updating my spreadsheet and noticed our results were more or less identical to last season.
That's all.

The bias is, in fact using a competition that one manager had the opportunity to manage in whilst the other one didn't.

Prem and the Carabao comparison is more logical if you're being fair.
