No, not really. Either you add conditions or you don’t, it’s a scale from no conditions (every game including friendlies) all the way up to only games in the same competition, against the same team, with the same players, and the same number of days rest, on the same day…

The less conditions, the more simple the comparison. Very basic shit.

Let’s start including the Audi cup.

The super cup is a one off pre season crowning game. It isn’t a competitive game part of the new season.

Ludicrous to include it in anything worthwhile.

It’s definitely a competitive game. Even if people choose not to see it as one. It’s basically a Continental Charity Sheild.

I agree both a basically glorified friendly games by popular opinion but technically both are competitive games.

I've timestamped Frank's interview where he briefly talks about how critical it is to build a solid foundation.

Already feels like he's been here a while, but he's only just arrived and is clearly still in this mindset of setting us up to be super strong on level one and then build up from there to be the full-flowing, dynamic end product he wants us to be.

He's started well, but is still going to need a season to saturate the squad with his principles.

Then gets his first summer window to replace, upgrade and augment to his own taste and we're all set for a very bright future imo.

Only just arrived? He's been here neigh on 4 months. A season to get his "principles" across? Gimme a break. Postecoglou completely altered the way we play and got them playing his way in less than one month. He's doing the same at Forest ( you may not like his way of playing, but you can't argue that he didn't need a year to get his "principles" across to the players)

Frank has better players than last season, and a fit back five. There are no excuses to get the team playing his way in the next 4- 6 weeks.

Agree, Postecoglou got us playing his way in a month. Change was evident since begining. But then after another two months, that way was completely figured out by opponents. Plus it was completely insufficient long term due to injuries.

Short gain, long pain basically. Nothing to be proud of unless you are caretaker for 2 months.
