Another concerning performance but we're not allowed to mention that...

Still give the guy time, you melters are a bit pathetic and those that want him out already are not even worth listening to.

This. People having a go at Frank need to seriously open their eyes.

Bar arguably Bergval, Our midfield 3 and forward 3 that started today are genuinely bottom half PL table/Championship level players. May seem harsh, but we all know deep down it’s true.

And I know people will retort “Franks the one who put them on the pitch”, but what is he supposed to do?
Palhinha is a level up sure, but he cannot play every game. Ditto Kudus. They will be broken in no time and we already have enough injuries.

People screaming for Gray, come on. The kid has talent, but he’s still so so raw and if he started in midfield tonight he would have been absolutely no improvement on the 3 that did start.

Sure, Frank isn’t beyond criticism, but the hand he’s been dealt squad wise is absolutely shocking considering the level he is expected to compete at and the expectation amongst fans.
Yup.

Dominating the possession but lacking creativity due to sitting Kudus and Simons, itself a questionable decision, would be one thing. Even then, as evidenced by how little it took to actually score those two goals, you don't need very complicated and high quality stuff to overcome this Championship caliber Bodo team.

But this? 11 men behind the ball, in fact inside their own half, and still handing out chance after chance? Not being able to string three passes for prolonged periods? Dreadful stuff.

We haven't even entered into the stretch where the fixtures get significantly more difficult. It could get very ugly after the international break. Look at this:

Villa
Monaco away
Everton away
Newcastle away (League Cup)
Chelsea
Copenhagen (certainly not worse than Bodo)
Man Utd (enjoying a new manager bounce by then)
Woolwich away
PSG away
Under Frank I think with our first XI we give all those sides a game (except PSG).

The issue is the attacking depth is absolute dross so he needs to get creative with rotation.

Is there a way to just rotate between Richy, Kudus and Xavi and leave the other mugs at home?

Vic
Danso - Romero - VDV
Porro ------------------- Udogie
Pal - Gray
Bergvall
Kudus --- Xavi

Poor team selection again tonight.

He needs to stop playing Bergvall in the 10. Simons has not looked great but needs a run of games there to get his confidence and sharpness up. Gray should get a go in the 8, looked lively tonight.

Our attacking transitions and progression were horrible. Not helped by BJ playing like an utter cunt and an uninspiring midfield. Cochrane needs to get his finger out - you can shore up your defensive structure and work on attack at the same time.

Agree. Frank is no messiah by any means, but by and large this squad is pony. His appointment was because he gets more than the sum of it's parts from his squad. The club literally said the same themselves. I like Frank and I think he's a good manager, but he's no miracle worker.

We're still recovering from one of our most dire seasons in decades outside of Europe, Frank's been with us for not even 15 matches yet, it's gonna take time to fix the damage Ange did to us.

WTF are you babbling about? What better way to take over than a team riding high on a fucking major trophy and all the investment a Champion's League place give you?

Frank has been unfortunate with the injuries to our best mids and forwards - just like Ange was when losing his back 5 for months last season.

Trust in Frank to sort it out when he has Solanke and RKM back but like Ange was sold short last year Franks been fucked by our refusal to buy quality mids who can fucking play quality football. That's the problem - not the bloke who won us a fucking European trophy ffs :roflmao:

They're still blaming the bloke for our current injuries btw 😂

He's an excellent coach but even he can't make a midfield with no passing ability actually pass the ball

He hasn't got the players he wants and so far there's positive signs in that we are not giving up and fighting until the end.

clear he doesn't fancy Tel, Odobert and Johnson on the left and doesn't fancy Gray centrally. Not even sure he really even likes Bergvall tbh.

It's shit at the moment but bonus is we are still hard to beat, whether that's luck or design at the moment.

He needs time. No manager was going to come in and have us playing good football straight away.

We will need to get through this period. We were always going to have to go through something like this, we finished 17th last season.

we are also missing some important players.

It's bananas. I'm also getting told this all a mess that Daniel Levy left.....what? The players out there tonight should be more than enough to beat a Norwegian side. The side put out against Doncaster made them look good too.

Some completely mental takes here. I'm by no means saying sack the man. But if we don't see improvement this month, with the run that we have in November in December, then he could go. We look completely and utterly devoid of any ideas. And, to boot, teams are creating lots of opportunities against us in the last few games. They won't all be as wasteful as Bodo and Villarreal.
