interesting comments on making Tottenham Stadium a fortress.

Feel like every manager since poch has in a way kinda mentioned the atmosphere...the lack of it.

This is a rough sequence of games- Frank will have to rotate cleverly to put out a side each time capable of getting points from these games.

------
vs Villa:

Tel
Odo - Xavi - Kudus
Sarr - Palh
Udog - VdV - Rom - PP
Vic

-This might be our best side right now give or take Spence. We should put our best side out to try and get them into a rhythm as we start this sequence. If Kudus is out, slot BJ straight in for him.

------
at Monaco, Wednesday:

Odo - Richy - Kudus
Gray - Palh - Barry
Udog - Danso - Rom - Djed
Vic

-Akliouche is very good- big and silky with excellent crossing. Djed will be a good marker to put on him at RB. I expect we'll be playing on the counter for this one.

------
at Everton, Sunday:

Tel
RKM - Xavi - BJ
Sarr - Benta
Djed - VdV - Rom - PP
Vic

-Give Odo, Palh and Kudus a rest; give BJ and RKM a start.

------
at Newcastle, Wednesday:

Richy
Odo - Barry - Kudus
Benta - Palh
Udog - VdV - Rom - Djed
Kinsky

-Djed will be an excellent marker to put on Gordon at RB for this one.

------
vs Chelsea, Saturday:

Tel
Odo - Xavi - Kudus
Sarr - Palh
Udog - VdV - Rom - PP
Vic

-Very tough game always. I favor trying to match their physicality and then seeing if we can win the day on the ball. Djed over PP could be a possibility.

...And that gets us to Copenhagen, when we can rotate more creatively and liberally.

Thomas Frank explains 'no dickheads' policy (danish)

I translated it into English (well chat gpt did)

Thomas Frank: “I really believe in culture.
And I believe a lot in what I call: hard work, attitude, togetherness, passion.
But above all that, there’s what I call the ‘no dickhead policy.’
You only want good people.
We want people who believe in each other and who give to the team — and that’s crucial.”

Interviewer: “So what’s a dickhead?”

Thomas Frank: “Well, it’s probably easier to explain it the other way around.
I think, generally, there are very few bad people who don’t want what’s best for the team. Otherwise, you’re talking about being a bit of a psychopath, right?” laughs
“Luckily, there aren’t many of those.

So I’d rather say, sometimes there are players whose ego needs a bit of guidance.
It’s always the ego — yours, mine — that gets in the way sometimes.”

Interviewer: “Have you talked about this with the Tottenham squad and the staff? Have you told them, ‘this is how it’s going to be under me’?”

Thomas Frank: “Yes, I have. I’m quite straightforward like that.
On the first day I came in, I said three things.
For me, it’s important that we work incredibly hard.
It’s important to be on time — that’s about discipline.
And yes, respect for each other.
Then we can make mistakes on the pitch, we can even score an own goal if that happens — whatever.
But those three things are vital. They’re non-negotiable.”
He love the old ‘non-negotiable’ phrase😀

I hadn't looked at our fixture list. Urgh. Fingers crossed it's one of those group of games where we grow a proper pair and surprise everybody with a run.

This gives me hope , finally the international break is over, Frank has already shown he can rotate effectively, we may even have 2 or 3 available strikers, 2 of which can play on the left if needed.
