Was the midfield the issue today? He’s just not learning from his mistakes at home.
Keeps on picking the same midfield & expects different results.
I’d say it was more our hapless frontline who couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo.

Palhinha ain’t a top 6.Every team plays with a top 6 and Palhinha is ours. But playing two of them is rancid.
Our attack is powder puff, so to set up with Lucas, Sarr, Tel, Odobert, Simons is just far too lightweight. Only Kudus can hold his own.
A balance is needed but playing both of them is too boring and defensive IMO

We did create some pretty clear cut chances though.I just don’t see the reason for playing 2 CDM’s at home, game after game.
It’s not like we’re creating bucket load of chances as it is.
We’re playing far too negatively.
Perhaps that's really his game plan at this point in time. But having said that, Villa were finding space in our midfield and able to play through the middle, so we've not been that watertight under Frank.

Obviously way too early for this kind of take, but I can understand the sentiment, from what we've seen so far, and it'll be up to Frank to show his colours, especially when we have players returning.

All the better to HEAR us with!
Precisely. Was the midfield the issue today?
I’d say it was more our hapless frontline who couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo.
When you think of all the people who wouldn't have taken being two points off top after 8 games, after last season, you can understand the hysteria....
Not sure what was happening there. Was three missed opportunities to make the sub when the ball went out of play. We seemed to lose a bit of concentration waiting for those changes as well and conceded. Can’t for the life of me understand why it took 8 minutes to make the Muani and Bergvall on.
Guess showing them what is on a little whiteboard was more important than, you know, actually playing the game.
if we win the next 2 games we gonna be title contenders againWhen think of all the people who wouldn't have taken being two points off top after 8 games, after last season, you can understand the hysteria.

And level with Chelsea who have spent how much……….?
Solanke is crap. Whats he meant to do differently to Richarlison and Tel? Hes more of the same. We've had a pretty easy start and I'd say we are a little bit below par
Beating city - great. One point from Wolves, Villa and Bournemouth - awful.
I do think the injuries to Madders and Solanke (Kulu too maybe) have really affected us. Hopefully we'll be better once Solanke is back. I also think Xavi will improve as he adapts to the league.
Palhinha ain’t a top 6.
A Top 6 can pass the ball and contribute to build up.
