Agree but he’s a massive improvement on Richy. Steady, first touch and plays % football
Just watching Mumai play for the 20 or so minutes mid week made me realise how much we miss someone who can hold the ball up! Richy just can't seem to do that, the ball just bounces off him or he falls over, Solanke is a massive improvement in that respect , Frank had Toney looking like a quality striker so lets see what he can do with Solanle

We play like like that against a good side, and we lose. Hard to beat means that we're air tight and and don't give up chances. Even with this defensive crap, we're still being cut through like a hot knife in butter.

Catch a grip of yourself.
No, hard to beat means exactly what it says on the tin. Has less to do with the opposition and more to do with how we are set up to play.

Nobody would have given a flying if Johnson had pinched all 3 points at the end. Style of play and being entertaining always come secondary to the result.

If you want to build a straw man try using your swede before posting, citing a game where we got battered but still didnt get beat is oxymoronic.

Better still try using the games at home we did lose and have to suffer at the stadium ffs.

What gives you the right to decide who can post here and makes a normal Spurs fan... you can fuck right off.. if you don't like what I post put me on ignore or better still, maybe you should find another place where you can be fucking miserable... I'd rather fight for my club to be better rather than accept being fucking miserable

Why, good sir, I am Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Double pivot, and despair!

I'm still absolutely fully Frank in and have no doubt he will succeed. His Bentancur fascination is alarming and I also don't like preferential treatment and Sarr got dropped after being our best players that doesn't sit right with me.

Our squad on the whole is shite though and he's not had Maddison, Kulu and Solanke at his disposal at all. He obviously doesn't have any faith in our left sided options and tbh he would probably want another CM but yeh he's done alright and I think we will improve.

its all looking quite dark dead right now, not because of frank really but the team hasnt shaped up the way i expected after the end of the window.
on paper i thought we looked really strong, add the showing against psg and i had great optimism

Vicario
Spence/Porro
VDV
Romero
Udogie

Palhinha
Sarr
Xavi

Kolo
Solanke

Kudus

ahhh it looked like a strong team to me ready to suprise a few teams. Alas as is the case with on paper teams, it hasnt worked out.

players dropping out injuried, and in the case of xavi just not turning up at all. and so like last season we end up again having to get tunes out of bergvall, bentancur, odobert, tel, danso, playing spence on the left, running pedro into the ground

all it takes now is an injury to VDV to truly have us back in that kinda level that had us finishing 17th.

need a 3 month international break

JP and Kudus have actually show up how shite our squad is

Defence is pretty good.

MF and attack ... poor.

I don't really know what people expected us to be right now. We have poor strikers, one winger approaching a top level, no midfielders who excel at recieving/passing the ball/plotting a game, one left footed left back (which is killing us), fairly erratic GK. Not so much here, but social medias rn are an absolute cesspool. Frightening to think of how little patience people have, the things they think and say.

Agree.

I think my only disappointment so far is that I’d hoped to see a little more tactical flexibility, being what he was known for, to help progress the ball better. Perhaps a back five, to avoid the Palinha / Betancur double pivot. He might have looked to make more attacking use out of Spence and Porro.

And Xavi has been shit. Even if we’re losing, it would be great to have an exciting player in the team.

I look at that team and it reeks of 8th to 10th.

Honestly.

I never wanted Nuno, Nuno felt like a panic appointment after we missed all of our other targets. And I was pleased to see him go.

I wasn't that excited about Ange either and I thought the adulation he got first ten games, the whole "Angeball" thing with the Robbie Williams stuff was totally premature and all a bit cringe, but at least our fanbase was positive and hopeful for a change. You can tell by now I'm not a bandwagon jumper I'm a lot more measured.

I wasn't that sold on Frank truth to be told, I knew our fans would turn on his style of football and the fact that he isn't a big name and I knew he wouldn't get the time.

To answer your question if I knew then what I know now I would have wanted Nuno to get more time.

This cycle of sacking managers isn't working, we need to give somebody the time.

Frank is highly rated within the game by the people who know football, players and other managers. We have to give him time.

Definitely longer than three months! 😂 😂 😂
