Lose today and I think he'll really be on borrowed time. He hasn't really provided any indication that there's some sort of plan or method.
Na I don't think so , whoever we get we have to give them a whole season or whats the point, we all laughed at United but after giving the manager time and getting his targets in they are actually starting to show signs that they are improving, I can't Lie i am a bit worried about Frank but its to early in the day, we can't just keep chopping and changing managers and suddenly hope it clicks, I like Glasner but his start at Palace was horrendous - if he had that start at Spurs we would have been calling for him to be sacked......
What I want to see from us today is that he is learning about the midfield and put out a team that can create chances and not look so disjointed.

I keep seeing this about Glasner on here. I thought he had a decent start there tbh.

Premier league.
First 6 games. (Not including the game on day he was announced / appointed).
W 1. D 2 L 3
2 of the teams he lost to city and Spurs.
Top 6 teams.

So got 5 points from 18.
That was over about 1.5 months of football equivalent of mid August to say start of October.

Next 7 which was about 1.5 months worth of football again.
W6 D1 L0
Beat Liverpool, united, Newcastle and villa in that run.

So I would take that. That was a full 3 months in the job. No pre season. Just being dropped straight in.
Frank is now coming up to 3 months of football - plus a pre season.

It’s exhausting. I get that every manager is going to be divisive, and you’re always going to get sections of fans who don’t want a particular manager, but it feels like some fans are more hellbent on hoping that a manager fails rather than wanting the team to do well.

Modern football fandom doesn’t help either. People need to realise that you’re not going to win every game and you’ll have ups and downs throughout a season.

I think your problem could be a simple one Carrie.

You have never played football manager.

Once you have played a few seasons and taken Harwich Albion United to the CL final from the southern beach counties league you will understand how easy this managing a football team lark is.

Go and invest in FM26 and you will see exactly what I mean for yourself. It’s amazing how easy managing a football team really is.

That same group of players went from 5th to 17th why cant they be 5th again? Works both ways unless you are making excuses for Frank to have a shit season.

It's not the same group of players though, is it? Son is gone, Kulusevski, Maddison and Solanke are crocked. That's around 50 G/A we've lost along with most of our attacking quality. Aside from Kudus we are picking from attacking players that would struggle to get a game for Fulham, any manager would struggle to create an effective attack with the current options we have (that does not mean this is the best we should expect from Frank).

That said we could end the day in joint 2nd place, so maybe some perspective is in order? What more do you expect from a team that has to play Odobert and Tel in the starting XI?

We signed some players with potential and are still hoping they will come good. It's a bit small time.

Frank is clearly a decent bloke and I hope he succeeds, but games like todays we cannot lose. Player for player, we have a better squad than Everton.

At the moment, our forward players are not playing for each other. They don't support each other in possession, they're static when we're in the final third and so they inevitably end up playing backwards and sidewards. From the outside looking in, this says to me that the players don't really like each other and there's a bit of politics going in behind the scenes.

It's up to Frank to fix that, and if he can't, the run of games we have coming up before Christmas will be the end of him.
Does Sunderland have a better squad than Chelsea?

There are bods here who get hard ons whenever they mention Glasner and Iraola

Iraola pretty much lost his first 10 matches; and Glasner ditto the first 10 of last season

They just didnt want Frank in the first place and use every poor result with which to stick the knife in

Also ignoring that he's having to start some matches with Tel and Odobert. Lost count of the number of open goals Tel's missed so far.

Agendas....
