It kind of sucks, but we need to give Frank more time until the squad gets healthy and a chance to play together for an extended period of time. Its true he has been given an absolutely terrible situation injury-wise in that he's come into a situation where his top ST and CAM haven't been available.

I don't buy that. He has 3 strikers - Richarlison, Kolo & Tel - along with Johnson who has proven himself as a striker.

He knew going into the season that Madisson was gone.

He needs to set up the team and tactics to play to the strengths of those players on the pitch - and not whine that he hasn't got a 10.

Johnson, Tel, Kolo are all strikers that come alive with Through Balls - which it seems we have the lowest in the league so far. Instead Spurs see corners as the only route to a goal - Might as well have signed Chris Wood.

Well, if Ange and the squad didn't take that risk - Spurs wouldn't have a Trophy and wouldn't be playing in the Champions League. That's what winners do - they win. They don't 'settle' for 6th and call that progress.

How different would Spurs' summer window have been had we not been in Europe?
We won the EL but the complete opposite of Ange ball though, we literally parked the bus for 80 minutes

I'm right behind Frank, and he needs time, but that is mindblowing.

One through ball at home. But the football is so dull it doesn't surprise me.

He needs to send the team out to attack tomorrow night. If it's more of the same the pressure is going to be huge on him already.

You can't expect fans to pay those prices and serve that type of football up.
I put the lack of through balls at the feet of the players , they lack the courage and belief in their ability and play it too safe far too often , hence so many backwards passes .

Or maybe its down to our persistence of playing Bents and JP at the heart of our midfield , still I thought we started with a lot more positive line up against Chelsea with Sarr and Bergvall its just in typical Spurs fashion Bergvall gets injured after a few minutes and his replacement has an absolute mare.

It's not just those two, I saw some vids doing the rounds after the Everton match where our players just weren't playing the balls to runners when they were in space, Djed to Xavi was one instance where he could have played him in but he checked back and went for the safety first approach, that is happening far too much.

We're playing the same boring garbage that is the present day in-vogue system of football. Set pieces, corners, long throws, where the opposition is invariably man-handled and fouled out of the contest are what the system demands.

There are no through balls because thats not part of the system. There is no midfield creativity or improvisation because that's not part of the system. There is no tricky wingers because that's not part of the system

Football has become a chore.

Exactly.
Some people have called this lineup as "absurdly defensive" - something I don't really get.

I think that PSG Supercup game was a really good contest. With 5-3-2.
Yesterday I assumed (guess we'll never find out) that we started with 4-4-2 with Bergvall and Sarr LM and RM that could both - attack and defend well. Both of them would have been expected to contribute SIGNIFICANTLY more to attacking play than Simons at this point.

But all of the plan got messed up with Berg forced off.
Not an excuse to the full game - good managers have to be able to react. But it is still a factor.

Glasner was the one for me, watching Palace play they look really good, remind me a bit of us under Poch, still whoever we get we are going to need to give them time, I am not to Keen on Frank, however I'm willing to give him time otherwise whats the point.
Glasner took a while to get his first win. Same as Iraola. They both got given the time to implement their ways to the squad.

The state of our fan base, we’d want them gone if they didn’t win in their first 5 games. Our fans are just a bigger problem as everything else.

Not when you analyse what exactly was "at his disposal" and when it was "at his disposal".
No, it is very much that. The buffoon rushed Romero and VdV back from injuries and immediately got them re-injured. That isn't some kind of saving grace for the man, but a mark of his lack of skill in management

If you don't want to accept truth that's entirely your bag but I'm just out here begging people to understand just how big a mountain Frank has to climb and to support him 🙏
It actually comes across like you're saying Frank isn't measuring up against Ange, for what it's worth. People are being blind to how utterly incompetent the man was as a PL manager.
