assuming we won’t sack the jug eared, floppy haired fraud this month, and assuming we lose the next 3 or 4 we need to bring in a number 2 that understands attacking football, as opposed to this complete Scandinavian nerd with zero football IQ. He’s lost the dressing room, he needs someone to carry it for him.

Keep him away from the first team all week at training and bring him in to do the press stuff, and allow real football men to do the hard graft

Big Sam?

If Pal didn't play on Saturday don't think you would be seeing much difference.
I agree the whole team was pretty much awful on Saturday. I dug out Palhinha not because he did anything wrong in particular, rather his strengths are defensive, and that's all good and well in certain matches but these games when the team only have one shot on target require a more progressive player

He is a problem but he isn't the problem, he provides a bigger solution to what we don't have which is more than a hindrance to what we already have.

Yeah I know, chances of stumbling upon a viable fix to some of our issues in a game against Copenhagen are very slim. I don't even remember them crossing the halfway line in pressing, that's how little they fancied their chances. So take the following stuff with a grain of salt.

But this 3-2-4-1 in possession we saw especially in the first half, with Porro staying back instead of one of the double pivot dropping between CBs like usual, looked more promising to me. Something like, with adequate changes to today's XI obviously:

Porro-Romero-VdV
Bentancur-Sarr
Johnson-Simons-Odobert-Udogie
RKM
Pros
Puts our -arguably- two best passers in Porro and Romero in a position where they can have the whole pitch in front of them, seeing those forward passes better
Best short term fix I can come up with to the glaring hole on the left, with Udogie playing as a wingback
Could be more conducive to winning the ball in high areas with 5 players up front
Save the best for last: Spares us from the Palhinha-Bentancur double pivot

Cons
Would probably reduce Porro's attacking firepower quite a bit, so not sure if he would buy into this
Heavily dependent on Udogie being healthy and in form, since I don't see Spence being able to make this work
Doesn't really address the issue of lack of a #10, but then I don't know if it's even possible at the moment

Ahh at least we don't have to read the incessant moaning from Papafeels Papafeels over the next few days 😎

I did nothing but praise that performance.

You might want to take that sly little dig, roll it up good and tight, and stick where the sun doesn't shine, Shady.

Nice to know you're thinking of me though babe, appreciate it.

Tired of saying just give him time.

He's had tat to work with in the final third.

Kolo arriving tonight just showed what we've been missing.

And it's clearly CRITICAL to our attacking play.

FRANK IS AN ATTACK MASTER!!!!!
Always was a positive manager.

No myth created otherwise can hijack that reality.

5th highest in the league last season.

Scored more than us.

Doubt this will stop the agenda tho.

Anyway, carry on everyone, don't let this get in the way of the myth-creation.

Can only play what's in front of you and what was in front of us was probably the worst side we'll play all season.

But fair fucks to Frank. The team clearly went out there with much more intent than we've shown recently.

Big test is on Saturday. We've had United's number in recent seasons so hopefully the players feel that mental edge.

Lost the dressing room?!
