I don't think anyone can say that the boss coached a win. He coached a terrible defeat and made a big mistake with his selection.

Away at PSG we played 3 solid midfielders in Palinha, Benta and Sarr with Kudus as a 10 and Richi at 9. Playing Odobert as LWF with Kudus RWF left far too much space for our 2 CMs to cover and it disintegrated immediately, we completely failed to disrupt Woolwich's play.

Said this before the game........ Scum will bully you in the middle... You can't give them a man advantage like that.

Odobert tucked in behind Rich completely cut his nuts off.

You never go back - and that includes Poch

But it is grimly amusing watching the same sacky sacks who spent the last 18 months assuring us that Postecoglou didn't have a clue and that "any half decent manager" would have us flying up the table now spamming the Frank Out button...

The numbers never lie and the numbers told us that with his Back 5 available Postecoglou was somehow getting this shit squad Top 5 metrics. That's as good as it's going to get unless and until we buy World Class players in their prime.

Sacking Frank won't change anything except the aesthetic (playing defensive vs attacking football)

1) Almost none of us wanted Frank. I can remember maybe 1 poster stumping for him. Wanting Ange out and not wanting Frank are not mutually exclusive choices- it’s not at all inconsistent to not want either.

2) Throwing up your hands and saying “we can’t possibly have done or do better than Ange” is simply a lazy argument. You would have to presume that you know all possible inputs and all possible outcomes to be able to say something so far reaching.

Cool… we proceeded to get 19 points from the remaining 26 PL games.

I’m going to guess you stop comparing points totals because it was all downhill from this point on last season.

Because we lost 4 of our starting back 5.

When they returned they ONLY played together in EL and we did not lose a game when they did so.

And of course we won a European trophy.

Whether Frank is the long term answer is neither here nor there for me.

I think the depressing realisation that it doesn't really matter is really driving home today after that.

Really feel a bit broken (spurs related broken lol) but nothing ever seems to change in terms of us being able to mix it in these big games.

Poch was the answer and we didn't do enough by him.

Never forgive Levy and Co for not pushing the boat out for him.

Anyway we're a million miles away from that now.

We've a mediocre squad apart from a couple of players and we've a manager who wants to play grind it out football.

But yet we should stick by him, in the hope that he builds something.

I don't know, time to think about other shit I guess.

Same old Tottenham.

We also had Solanke, Kulusevski, Son and Maddison in the team. We have absolute poverty in attack at the moment.

Fringe players last season like Odobert and Richarlison are now in the first XI because we have no other options.
All four of those players took a ton of heat off the fan base last season

Solanke - never fit doesn't look like scoring
Kulusevski - runs down blind alleys, no end product
Son - no pace, cant beat his man, finished
Madders - never fit, flat track bully, never shows up in big games

And you think three of those coming back are going to improve the outlook of this team under Frank...

Frank was never here to bring glory to Spurs. He is supposed to be a safe pair of hands as we try to navigate out of the Postecoglu and Levy shitshow era.

Basically just give us a respectable top 10 finish whilst improving the squad over the next 3 windows. He won't be here for much longer than that.

But it's going to be another boring period for Spurs fans. Probably time for another hobby.

How did it go when we had “big” managers like Mourinho and Conte. Still 4th-6th and not winning anything.

And that was when we had prime Kane and son. Who did we replace them with?
Mourinho pragmatic as fuck and conte would have delivered if he was backed correctly but he got richarlison and a club signing in Spence. Conte was a selfish cunt but every single thing he said about the club was correct. He also had a passion that we haven’t seen since. His first season in charge was so exciting and felt like we were on our way and with the right backing we might well have been in a completely different place.
I think we will back Frank with signings and keep him but I don’t think he’s right for us.

Ange is currently being made to look like an imbecile by Sean Dyche.

He’s not the answer to anything, and things were significantly worse under him than they are under Frank.

The disappointing thing is that in a derby, form or table position ought to not matter. The game should be fought with heart as much as mind.

Setting up the way we did was tantamount to raising the white flag before the ball was even kicked. Its an expression of the manager's mentality and its the same mentality that has permeated the club for a long time.

It needs to change but Thomas is not going to be that man who will lead and effect the change.

Should a club of Tottenham size and wealth, be hoping for a respectable top ten finish.
That is fine if you're palace, Fulham or West ham, but Tottenham?

Issue is the squad 100% IMO.

To play defensive like today we need a threat upfront also. We had Odobert, Richie and a half fit Kudus.

Rumours of Toney in the winter he's not a world beater but he'd hold the ball up and bring others into play.

At the same time we have no one in the midfield who can beat a press and pick a pass. Bergval maybe at some point, but Sarr has proven he can't, Bents can't Palinha can't.

So basically he's dammed if he does dammed if he don't. Doesn't have the tools to do anything against anyone decent cause the squad is midtable dross
If the Lewis cartel had any ambition to challenge for the top honours they'd release Frank now and employ a top manager so he can assess the squad before acting decisively in the January window.
As it is, they'll no doubt continue their well drilled modus operandi of milking one of the biggest clubs and biggest fan bases in England while doing just enough to stay on the Premier League gravy train 💰

We need a Redknapp type character - someone who can get these gutless wonders to fight, play some decent football and pull out results. Someone with some charisma who can put some of these players in their place but in a way that they don’t alienate them altogether.

Yeah this feels like the mid 90's when we had Gerry Francis and were signing the likes of Armstrong, Fox and Vega and Arse were bringing in Bergkamp, Petit and Viera....two clubs going in massively different directions

Let's be honest, any manager needs a decent squad and for all the money we have spent, how many of our current playing squad would start a game in the top Prem teams?

Romero
VdV

I could argue with anyone who adds to that list right now, because consistency is also important. It's not enough to have just two quality players who are consistently good.

The worst thing is that the Scum aren't even that good. Frank was a fucking coward and set up like we're a league 2 side in an away cup tie. Have some fucking balls and attack these cunts.

Getting only 0.07 in XG in a north London Derby is utterly unforgivable. He deserves nothing but the sack and our utter contempt.

These are tonight's quotes from Frank
"It was a very bad night for us,” Vicario told Sky Sports. “First of all, we have to apologise to the people that support us every day, that travel and expect to watch a fight, because today we didn’t fight. As a collective, we didn’t fight. That’s not negotiable to compete in a football match, especially at this level. We didn’t do that as a team.

“It’s a tough night, a very bad defeat but we have to stick together because we know what we have to address. We have a big night again on Wednesday. We need to stick together and to believe much more in ourselves because tonight we didn’t show what we are normally capable of.

And these are the quotes from Chelsea match. Three weeks apart but more empty words.

"We were definitely second best. We performed badly. I think we lacked energy and intensity and that freshness, we didn’t have that. Then I think the high pressure they came with, I don’t think we solved it well enough even though we worked on it, so that we need to keep working on."

Am I the only one who is starting to get sick of listening to him and starting to avoid him??
