In all honesty never rated him was only hoping he would prove me wrong. When we saw the starting lineup yesterday we all knew we were in for a thrashing. The question is if we knew how come he didnt. Does not bode well at all.

Thing is, who better would really want to come to us? We're not a desirable destination for top talent of any sort it seems. Figuring out where to go from here will be a serious litmus test for the competency of the new executive leadership/Lewis kids. They don't have much time to figure it out either before it will all start to go sour.
We are a mid-table team with a mid-table manager in charge of mid-table players.
We were top 4 when the fixtures were in our favour, though even then we needed a last second equalizer against Wolves at home.
Now we played 4 decent teams in a row ... 1 point out of 12.
Vitinha is one of the best technicians in the world. We need a Wharton, Elliott, Paz type player for that to work next to him. They also have Joao Neves, who can tackle and is a quality player on the ball.
We don't have the options in midfield to play him. Bergy and Sarr is the closest thing we have to a dynamic midfield, and that's quite the difference in quality, so not really comparable.
I’m not a particular Ange fan club member and he absolutely had huge flaws but if you gave him this squad with Romero and VDV healthy we’d be in a much much better place this season than we are now
Did what he achieved with a very decent Forest squad pass you by?
Oh I don't feel as bad about their qualities as you do. I think Sarr-Palh-Berg would be a pretty great midfield- if only Frank had the guts to play it.
Xavi has got great technical qualities and could very well develop into a Vitinha type player if he develops a bit more robustness.
We're Spurs- not PSG. It's not reasonable to expect to be able to make reasonable comparisons between our players and PSG/RM level players- we aren't eating at the same table as them.

I think Berg is a good 6 too- I wouldn't mind him being played there at all except we are trying to incoporate Palhinha always it seems. I'd love for Frank to try Berg or Gray there but I just know he won't. Fuck even him rotating Benta there would be fine too- but he wont!
