As shite as he is, and he is. It's probably better than what we, and the players have to suffer through.Isn’t Southgate available? At least he has big game experience!
Jesus wept.

Drop them.
Make them fear the consequences of poor performances.
Just play the eager, hungry kids.
Not playing loses them appearance fees, risks international places and possibly sponsorships and what have you.
People in workplaces tend to work hard because they either have that integrity within themselves or they fear the repercussions. If option 1 doesn’t work or isn’t there, you have to enforce option 2.
None of those three players or the fault of the club. Countless players over the years, yes. ENIC and levy are cunts. Yes. But these three by all accounts we actively tried. One was curtailed by an owner? The other two didn’t want to come.
Eze the Woolwich fan from their youth set up was only ever going to them.Bet they would have had we offered them over £200k a week with a nice cash payment on top for them and their agents (all legally ). Just like the teams they went to would have done. But we all know we would have offered them half of that tops given our wage history under levy.
Yep but we didn’t seem to have an adequate backup plan did we?None of those three players or the fault of the club. Countless players over the years, yes. ENIC and levy are cunts. Yes. So did Emilio Estevez in the Mighty Ducks, and John Candy in Cool runnings, Vinny Jones in Mean Machine, James Gammon in Major League. Those are a few of my favourite losers and misfits to winners movies.
Not sure Hollywood is the answer though.
Though I would pay money to watch this mob get a dressing down from Samuel L.
I've never been staunch in. You just don't understand nuance or can't read...You were staunch in like 2 weeks ago, and got very hurt feelings with me for saying otherwise.
So your argument for removing him is, well, we've tried everything else, so let's just give up? Ange was kamikaze and gung ho, players liked him though. The club then went and did a complete 180 and hired the opposite, and the players are very evidently not bought in.
So that huge middle ground is where we should go. Someone that like Poch back in the day was a mix of enterprising and cautious. Iraola, Glasner, Hoeneß, and I'm sure a massive other amount of managers fit that mould.
A squad overhaul is obviously needed, that much is obvious, but to suggest that no one else can get a tune out of them is ridiculous. We're set up not to lose, to be scared of the opposition, regardless of their level. It's a joke. Needs to end.
I wasn’t talking about you directly. Just warning the fanbase of what is likely to happen.
At the moment I’m more fucked off about the thought of having to go watch them at 8pm on a Saturday night. Terrible scheduling to watch a terrible team.
Eze the Woolwich fan from their youth set up was only ever going to them.
United would have trumped us. We can’t pay United money.
For years though we’ve used woefully inadequate players as the backup. This year for the LW we didn’t even do that.Yep but we didn’t seem to have an adequate backup plan did we?
We went into panic mode.
Fulham has no bearing. They're about as bad as we are. We could lose or win, it doesn't matter. Can we go on a run and get 3 wins on a row? Not a fucking chance. After the Fulham game, we have difficult games, again. We're going to be well in the bottom half come January, then February is even more difficult than it is now, and if he's still here, we're in real trouble.Yes it would. I had my doubts but what the fuck do I know...but I'm willing to give any new manager time providing we're not falling off a cliff.
I don't remember Brentford being this defensive though, they could mix it up from what I can remember.
Let's see what he does this Saturday. If he starts Palinhna and Bentancur at home to Fulham he'll be gone sooner than later.
I'm hoping he changes it up big time and we see some front foot attacking football on Saturday evening.
Huge night for him.
We don’t want to pay United money.
Anyway, I’m not talking about one window. I mentioned two but we can go back through each manager and it be the same, we both know that. They rarely get the players they want.
I don’t get the point in sacking yet another manager and hoping the next will be the one, or if not just repeat the same cycle.
Arteta took 7 years and £1B of his own signings to get to where he is now. Others have done the same.
Constantly sacking managers because it’s a tough period is both stupid and naive. You either stick with a manager and give him the time to build something or you just become Watford and hope for the best.
But we had that under Ange and it didn't work. There was no fear to go and attack, issue is we didn't know how to defend. No, but a manager who doesn't play not to lose, to be afraid of everyone and take risks is going to motivate them more than the crap they're being asked to do now.
How anyone can defend this is mind boggling.
I agree and it’s why I believe the squad is a far bigger problem than Frank. For years though we’ve used woefully inadequate players as the backup. This year for the LW we didn’t even do that.
I don’t know what the answer is. The fucking around late doors is on the club though - if we’d tried for Eze in July with the release fee we’d have had the same outcome but still had 5 weeks to address.
There’s no question on that. Always left short. We don’t want to pay United money.

Can't understand nuance..... Ironic much? What's happening is exactly what I said would happen, and it'll continue to get worse because he's completely out of his depth.I've never been staunch in. You just don't understand nuance or can't read...
I never really wanted the man in the first place, What I was staunch about is that there is no point sacking managers every 10-15 games. It doesn't work for anyone. And now that he is here, that you have to give the man time to work. I would say that about anyone not just Frank. Which Is why I voted unsure on the poll, and why I don't think it will make a blind bit of difference sacking him. If Woolwich fans had their way Arteta would be long gone, but its looking like he is going to steer them to a title. Fans get caught up in pure emotion, you need cooler heads to prevail. Fans don't know what's best for them, a lot of people want Poch back based purely on nostalgia.
That's the colossal distinction you are missing.
The bottom line is the difference between me and you is that I know that this group of players are a bunch of down tools, pussies that turn up when they want and their bollox shrink to peanuts when its on top. You think somebody can come in with a magic wand and turn them into world beaters.
This is pretty much the story of any and all managers. Each and every one has a list, and that's usually because there's a limited number of top players and a lot of clubs
